One reason I love busses is because they're so shite. When I turn up massively late for work a simple "Bus was late" solves the lot.

I've just come from the pub in town. The bus should have turned up at 17:15 but it broke down. I ended up getting home all of 10 minutes later but purposefully didn't spend 10 minutes in Game because I needed to get on it.

One time on my way to uni the bus I wanted to catch was very late, then it broke down at the White Rose Centre. I was gonna get off and catch the next bus to Leeds but some pakis were just stood on the stairs, so I ended up missing it and had to wait for the next one, so I was a bit late for my lecture
