80's / 90's 2000 AD is awesome stuff. Loads of the classic stuff (Dredd, Nemesis, Strontium Dog, Bad Company etc) is being rereleased now in proper book format, which is good for those of us who left huge piles of them in their parents houses and they ended up being eaten by mice
I love the fact that they are so bound to thrash culture as it gives me an excuse for terminal geekery.

Sadly 2000 AD and most comics in general nowdays suck. At some point in the mid 90s comics became a little trendy and now they labour at being 'clever', 'edgy' or having amazing painted art, which is all very nice but it always seems to be lacking in that essential thing, story.

Give me old school any day!
