Yeah, it says every band that's entered this competition are fucking morons. No one is going to earn that support, it's all about shagging your mates on Myspace. At least it's another nail in the coffin for the novelty piss about that the 'UK thrash scene' is. Bands need to have a bit more dignity and stop ruining it for the rest of us.

I can't get the bloody site to work. It wouldn't let me vote either the other night.

I voted yesterday, but the page must have taken about half an hour to load up, and then another 10 minutes to accept my vote!

I agree with some of what Martin is saying: all this "vote for band to be tour support / play at Bloodstock" stuff is bollocks. It's totally a product of the Myspace and Pop Idol generation and is all about getting as much lowest common denominator support - pretty despicable really. I'd prefer to think that Megadeth would take a band out on tour that they've heard and think are totally awesome, but sadly it doesn't work that.

That said I think Seregon are right to take this opportunity to give themselves a little more exposure.

They're some Canadian metal band. As opposed to a Welsh thrash band of the same name.
