I just bought "Pyscho Therapy"... ahaha.. on iTunes.. it's sounding sweet, crisp and lovely. Noticed the drum sound a bit at times, but it's nitpicking - at least it doesn't sound like there's a sofa infront of the drumkit now. Now get an album out, very soon.

I just don't think people know how to record thrash anymore, I was talking to Donny about this tonight. When you go and see a thrash band live, it's amazing because it's raw, energetic and aggressive. Yet when all these new bands record their albums, they're all crisp and clean and polished, and the live energy is completely lost, which is a shame because that's what it's all about!

I totally agree, and that's what we've been trying to capture on our demos. We seem to have achieved more of a muffled effect though hahaha!

I don't think that our recording has no energy personally.

if youre looking to regularly hear "LIVE energy" then go see the band, simple!
there is a noticeable improvement over the bangers and thrash/demo version.the new recording is much more direct, sharp and clear.whereas the still decent earlier version seems to now have more of a distant echo/basement feel in comparison.
either way,its a great thrash tune on a top compilation

Okay, I just checked out the clip properly on Mutant's myspace and I've gotta say personally the drum sound isn't a problem for me, I think it sounds cool. The best thing about it is Tom's vocals - big improvement, I'm into the harsher style. Good stuff.

I wasn't specifically talking about your recording with my comment (although I know I didn't really make that clear), I was just talking in general terms for modern boys. I think your recording lacks energy drum-wise, but the performance makes up for it elsewhere. But generally when I listen to modern thrash, that's my opinion as far as production's concerned!

I think it sounds awesome. I personally don't like triggered drums but I think it's pulled off well here.

They sound triggered, but then again I thought your album had triggered drums, but I remember mentioning it on here and one of you told me you didn't actually have them triggered. Some engineers just know how to get that sound I guess! It's fine for some metal obviously, and it had obvious advantages, I just don't personally think it works very well with this kind of thrash.

And you wouldn't have the shortest hair in thrash anymore.
