On the bus the other day, a guy scots man. I couldn't believe it. I've never seen a gay scot before. He sounded bloody weird.

Degenerate for not being involuntarily sodomized and having education and health systems that have actually been updated since Thatcher was Prime Minister?

Hmm...

I can't differentiate between the different parts of Scotland by accent. All sounds the same to me.

Glaswegian is the one an English person would try to imitate if asked to do a Scottish accent. People from Edinburgh sound English; people from Fife have a bit of a 'twang' to their accent and use the words 'aye', 'eh', 'ken' and 'like' ad nauseam; and people from the Borders and the Highlands have weird ways of pronouncing vowels.

I prefer them when they pronounce A as O so you can keep going on about 'gong bongs':

Foncy a gong bong, Olona (Alannah).

Not pronouncing Ts is nice too:

In'el Pen'ium...

Founded US Steel and is worth $300bn. He's probably better known in American than Willie. I'd say Gordon Brown is probably better known than Willie in Britain just now too. Alistair Darling as well.
