Deathrow... fuck how'd I forget them!!!

Raging Steel is a great thrash album!!!!!!!!!!!

Assorted Heap are quite good, kinda death metal at times and pretty dark... silly band name though

Holy Moses are the best female fronted thrash band

People actually like this band? I just thought they were shite myspace whores. I may have been more open minded to this band if they didnt bombard me with automated messages constantly.

haha people will want me dead after this thread, but i by the time id listened to all these bands i was getting bored of thrash, and when i listen to it now, its the bands i enjoyed when i was really getting into it.

You named the two i judge both bands on.

Pleasure To Kills quality isnt amazing, that doesnt usually both me, but on this album it does. The songs bore me a lot.

Agent Orange is a big borefest for me. I get bored of it very fast.

Destruction, riff masters.

but its all very close, Pleasure to Kill is one of the most obscene records ever, and Tankard are an essential... but for serious music, Destruction win every time.

Check out Violent Force for some great German speed metal filth.

at the end of the day, Teutonic Thrash > Bay Area Thrash.

I still need to buy the Mekong Delta LP off thrashduck, if he still has it.

Dan what about Coma of Souls? I personally worship Pleasure To Kill immensely, although Coma of Souls at least has a cleaner production you might prefer (I find some of the songs on it a bit bland though).

I will take a listen to it. But another part of Please to Kill i didnt like was that id exauhsted thrash by the time i got to it. So i dont know how this will go down. I will listen anyway.

Try not to approach it as a thrash album maybe, but just a super gnarly face melter that blends that early black metal sound with extreme drums and ferocious vocals - if you imagine you are a kid in 1986 putting it on for the first time, maybe that will help, rather than discovering it after already listening to loads of stuff that came later.

I don't really care that much for Kreator after Extreme Aggression!!

Holy Moses released some storming albums in the 80s, Finished With The Dogs and New Machine Of Leichenstein are both great releases and the vocals are SICK!!!!!

You can get Sentence of Death/Infernal Overkill/Eternal Devastation/Mad Butcher all in one pack for under a tenner - one of the most essential thrash purchases imaginable!

Destruction for me...the first four albums are amazing!

I find Endless pain gets overlooked when it comes to Kreator and they sort of tail off after extreme agression...though i really liked Violent Revolution and Enemy of god.
