yeah I'm really into them - I don't think they're doing anything very new really. Just putting harsh vocals over pretty typical speed metal type stuff. I wouldn't call it black thrash personally. But that doesn't mean its not great stuff! \m/

going even further from Thrash...Disembowelment!

Desaster dissapointed me on the gig (I seem to be the only one here), not as good as I expected them at all....shame. Nifelheim made that night!

VOMITOR! Fukking killer album! All the Aussie stuff is killer - check out Urgrund if you haven't yet!

Disembowelment - what an awesome band (if VERY far from thrash haha!)

Desaster were pretty good at the London show, but I don't like the new vocalist anywhere near as much. Nifelheim totally destroyed - one of the best bands I've ever seen.

Barathrum are probably my favourite blackened thrash band. Possibly followed by Nifelheim. Bestial Mockery are good too.

I love black thrash. Here is some modern stuff.

Megiddo - The Devil and the Whore
Svartsyn - ...His Majesty
Apotheosis - Farthest from the Sun
Born of Witch - Onward to the Sabbat (Demo)

Other bands worth listening to are Aura Noir, Damnation, Nifelheim.

And for older stuff that aint been mentioned try Mayhem's early material such as Out from the Dark and the Freezing Moon single and Hobbs Angel of Death which is the first Australian thrash band. The Hungarian Tormentor played som exceptional black/thrash back in he day as well.

I was listening to Tormentor's Anno Domini last night, it is a SUPERB album! Like Destruction meets Mayhem or something. Very thrashy and cool.

Another of his posts reveals:

"I'm Wayne from Birmingham, aged 22."

Sound familiar? :P
