Neopets and co.

So, did people on here use to use Habbo Hotel, Neopets or any other extremely sad internet phonomenons a few years ago?

I know I did. I joined Neopets when I was about 12, but was a bit rubbish. I remember there was even fights over Neopets at our school... God that's sad.

Habbo Hotel used to be a substantial part of my social life when I was about 14... I logged on the other night to check the place out, it's not changed alot. I did however, I'm afraid to say, spend quite a bit on text messages for furny back in the day. I gave this all away the other night - it felt good. Some rare furniture is going on ebay for frankly shocking sums of money - i saw 4 thrones for 65 quid..... IT'S A VIRTUAL CHAIR FFS...

I also used to play Netropolis, an online mafia businessy type game for a while, where you bought shops and could deploy various bombs against rivals, that held my attention for quite a while too.

Anyone play these or anything else equally stupid? Come on, let's regress like it's 2002!

The only time i ever played Habbo hotel was to stand in the doorways and shout racist remarks till i got banned. Also doing that on the Jap version means you speak in squares.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

I pissed around on Runescape for a few weeks, but it was terrible.

The only online game I got really sucked into for a few months was Warcraft, and thank fuck I escaped!

A load of people I know have just been sucked into Warcraft again after going clean, it's shocking just how much it takes peoples' lives. None of that for me though, I've resisted all urges to play Warcraft and stuff like Runescape just bored the crap out of me.

At the moment the only thing sucking up my life is Deus Ex

there was a short lived neo pets craze at my school in around year 7 where we'd all go on the internet at break time. I remember playing runescape a couple of years ago, got boring quick.

Age of Empires 2 and pokemon ruby are ruling my life atm

I only stopped playing Eve Online because I couldn't afford it. Man that game is too awesome. So much better than any other mmorpg it can't really be translated into words.
