Great gig. Short, but great.

However, a big fuck you has to be directed towards The Little Civic and Wolverhampton City Council.
My mate and I very nearly ended up getting stranded there because we were promised an 11pm curfew at the venue and the car park had already closed by the time we got back there. Death Angel didn't even get on until 10:10pm but rattled through their set brilliantly and finished everything bar their encores by just before 11pm. We left straight away, missing the two encore songs (luckily neither were among my favourites) and got to the car park to find that it looked like it had been closed for a while. Another bunch of chaps joined us, we phoned an emergency number and luckily the chap who works there eventually came back out to let us into get the cars.
Why the hell do Wolverhampton council close their car parks (especially ones that are predominantly used by people using the Civic and Wulfrun Halls at night) at 11, making people miss the end of shows?
Tossers.

I agree with that bloody car par. With three venues at a stone's throw it's a stupid time to close. I went to the Wulfrun a few weeks ago and we legged it out at 1055 so were in the car in time. There must be a more user friendly place to stick the car!

Did anyone else think it was weird to see an old thrash band where none of the members were fat? They looked identical to 5 years ago!

To be fair, Death Angel probably can't afford to eat...

Are they not all still in their mid-thirties or so? They were all about seven when they did the Ultra Pants.

Somebody on another forum suggested a free car park somewhere nearby called Fold Street. Not being from Wolves, I'm not too sure where that is but it's well worth investigating.

OOOOH, Art!? That was funny!

I was pretty drunk, so I wrote a very short review of the two bands I saw, quoted from my phone:

"Demolition - pretty gay and boring. Backing vocals were high as a meteor!"

"Da: didn't play much old stuf but were wicked"

I don't have the first two Death Angel albums which sucks because I didn't know most of the songs they played, was disappointed they only played one song off Act III (Seemingly Endless Time) but never the less they were amazing, really enjoyed myself.

Have finally ordered Archives and Artifacts boxset after more than a year of threatening to!

Me and my mate were discussing how they don't seem to have aged at all, they aren't exactely grandads but i was surprised that they still look so young.

I was also at the Wolves gig and had a cracking time.

The band were on late due to equipment problems and in-house fighting. The curfew at the Little Civis has always been 11pm and the managers and bands are made well aware of this at the time of booking.
Although it was indeed crap that we potentally only got a 55 minute show if they hadn't come back on.

Dark Weasel - try and park behind the actual Civic its free and no restrictions on getting your car out.
