Yeah, once? I've managed to order a 3 piece variety meal and be given 4 giant pieces and an extra crispy strip. That was the best day ever.

Yo dawg.

Good points:
- you've actually done it which is half the battle
- layout of the show is cool with an interview you'll have a 30 minutes show. Nice.
- most excellent voice, really clear. Clear enough for non-brits to understand you.
- It's good enough that people listened to it and can be bothered to offer feedback.

Bad points:
- music is far too heavily compressed
- if you aren't on UKThrash you're gonna get lost. Bit more background info on bands would be good. I don't care about forum members names (put that in the show notes)
- is that the signature tune at the beginning? If so it's not good enough. Get someone on here to give you a signature guitar intro or something.
- while it's funny to imagine child bumming with Jamie et al one complaint to Apple and you'll be banned from iTunes. If you're not on iTunes you may as well stop so realistically you'll need to be a bit more prudent (lame I know but that's how it works).
- No date as to when the next one is going to come out! You need to release at least once a week/month to keep getting peoples attention. They need to know that it will be out every tuesday, every other tuesday or the first tuesday of every month for example. A shorter regular show is better then a longer irregular show. You're asking people to invest time in your show so you need to treat them well.
- You need a website (or a dedicated part of this website) for the podcast with supporting material (show notes) links to the bands, pictures, downloadables etc. Linking to a forum looks a little amateurish. A MySpace page will do.
- You need a logo for the show which you can use on the homepage, iTunes and all the other podcast directories out there.

I think you've got a really nice podcast in the making here. It will really benefit the scene... so to all the fucking bands, do an interview and act like you give a toss! Good luck.

Thanks for teh feedbacks dazza, here's some counter points to allay your fears.
- Music will be CD quality next time, had to rip them all off myspace last time which wasn't ideal, but this will not go on as yeah, it sounds a bit rubbish.
- Yip, I've taken this on board about forum recognition and stuff, spreading the net and all that.
- Errm.. that signature tune.. is the intro to Psycho Surgery by Mutant with my voice on it!
- Yeah, the interview was a bit of silly, and obviously we'll try to avoid further mentions of child bummings in future podcasts
- As this was only a pilot idea mirage dream vision, I wasn't really sure when I finished editing when I'd be actually putting the show out - now I'm clear, it's gonna be once every 2 or 3 weeks, depending on news. The main problem is getting stuff from the frontline as it where - interviews from gigs and stuff, but hopefully we'll be on schedule to get one out in the next couple of weeks.
- Your last two points are entirely right, and I'll get em both set up before the next one.

Hahaha. I'm finally listening to this. The intro is hilarious. Paul, as I just told you on Facegay, you have a marvellous radio man voice. The mention of the forum aliases was a bit unnecessary as Dazza mentioned (eg. 'Faraz aka Zykloned', no need, just say Faraz!) And just referring to it as 'the forum'... obviously we know exactly what you mean, but no one else will! But I'm sure you know this.

The Doctor Death interview was amazing, haha. Once more band interviews have been carried out it'll be lovely and you'll be able to fill the podcast with much more quality content of joy.

It does neither the podcast or Mutant any favours. I think it sounds a bit naff. Again, it's more like an 'in joke' then an intro. Of course that's just my opinion Now if you got Mutant to record the intro with them singing 'PODCAST' it would be fucking ace

There are so many good bands/musicians on this forum, can't one of you write a 5-10 second jingle intro/outro.... maybe that could be your first competition? I'm sure there are a thousand unused UKThrash riffs in the bin that could be resurrected.

Am I sounding over critical? I don't mean to be too negative. It really is an excellent idea, brilliantly executed. I've listened to a lot worse podcasts in my time and as you say this was only the pilot. I just want to see this one succeed that's all.

Anyway, better to discuss these issues now rather then on episode 10 and no one outside the forum is listening. Is this not what a pilot is for?
