A far worse, far more shocking idea is 'txt speak' now being acceptable in exams. Not in English or other essays but short answers and less literacy based subjects are apparently going to opened to this abuse and this going to happen if it hasn't already. Fucking ludicrous, half that shit doesn't make sense as simplified versions of things.

Even though my spelling is shit, i think it is a stupid idea, what about those people who can spell, are they going to change the way books, magazines and papers spell, why the fuck should we have to change things, this the problem with this fucking country. Make the kids learn bring back the cane to schools, it is a good deterrent. It would make the learn and also behave themselves.

While were on the subject of the decimation of the English language, i am always having to bollock my kids for using the wrong words. If you are under 14, cars it seems no longer have registration plates, but licence plates, bonnets are now hoods, all inscects are bugs, and even the good old british arse is now a butt!!!! I try to tell them that we live in Burton UK, not fucking Boston USA!!!!!!! It is starting to sink in however as i make them write 200 lines now every time they say one of these americanisms.

If anything, I think schools should be working harder to teach students foreign languages rather than simplifying English. It's not as if English isn't the easiest language you're likely to encounter in your lifetime or anything...
