The new Enforcer album is coming!

Postby jonny_boy34 on Wed Mar 24, 2010 10:16 pm

Well, according to Heavy Artillery this album is 'long awaited' - I swear the first album hasn't been out for long... anyway, it's still great news, new Enforcer is out on May 24th! It seems like they've joined the ranks of Earache for European joy (they're still with Heavy Artillery for American joy it seems). Their new album is called 'Diamonds', the front cover is hilarious, and the new song 'Midnight Vice' is great for classic Di'Anno-era Maiden-on-speed fun, although I find that the vocals get annoying towards the end of the song. In fact, for some reason I'm not a massive fan of Olof's vocals on the studio albums, I don't know what it is, but something about his way of singing grates on me a bit, even though his voice is technically amazing. Anyway, have a butchers: http://www.myspace.com/heavyartilleryrecords

Did someone say TWILIGHT ZONE?! Yeah looking forward to this, sounding heavy and riffy. Vocals do get repetitive though... doesn't sound like the lyrics have evolved much either!

What a killer drum sound! It actually sounds like drums! The track is very Maiden, but VERY cool, totally rampant bass playing.

What's the Brum date? Can't find anything on the web about it, and need to book the day off asap!

fuckinghell this new Enforcer has an amazing metal sound... like 70s/80s style hard rock sound but modern and refreshed... I really like the vocals, remind me of loads of 70s german rock bands!

Disappointing that the Brum date is a Grindhouse night. I think these nights really need boycotting, however I want to support Enforcer.

I've been playing this album tons over the past couple of days; it's superb. Definitely more HM-oriented and less speeding than the first, but no less killer. I can certainly hear some Scorps in the vocals this time round. The production is exactly how you describe it - my only reservation is that sometimes the bass is TOO loud and the guitars could be a little more present, but that's nitpicking. The guitar playing is stepped up from the first album as two guitar players with distinct sounds have given a real duelling attack to some of the songs.

I agree, this is a great album, its a real step forward and nicely different from their first LP but with-out becoming a completely different band. i think its much more of a grower of an album, but the more i listen to it the better it is!

I've only heard a snippet in Lewis's car the other day but is sounded powerful!
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...
