Haha, yep, afraid so. I like Dialectic Chaos, and I quite like 1,320 a little bit, and Headcrusher's alright (but a bit boring), and This Day We Fight! would probably be quite good if that wasn't the title and those weren't the lyrics, but basically, yeah, I'm afraid I find the rest of the album incredibly boring.

Bought it today, its good, not amazing but i think its a better album than the last one...i think the music on some of the songs are really good and the vocal delivery on 1320 (i don't find it that terrible apart from the drums at the beginning) is pretty cool but there is a case of the fillers. Also i think the lyrics should have been re-worked seems very much abovetopsecret.com
With everyone talking about the drugs i swear he mentioned something about going off the rails a little because of family issues during an online chat, but was hard to keep up with people going mental. I'd still go see them live next time they are about.

Megadeth have always had shit lyrics. 99% of thrash and 95% of metal in general has shit lyrics.

That's the whole point. Dio would be no fun if the lyrics actually made sense instead of just being words that happen to rhyme.

Countdown is my first ever metal album, this is their best album since then. Fucking great.

44 Minutes is brilliant. Their best song for fucking years.
No "it wears off after a couple of goes" for me. I've listened to it in excess of thirty times and it still rocks my socks.

Listening to it now on their myspace, it's okay.
Doesn't grab me by the balls, but it doesn't make me want to cut them off either.
Will buy it when I get some money.

Re: Megadeth -End Game
It's annoying trying to wade through what seems like the chat of haterz and fanboyz. I have just listened to 'Headcrusher' and some of 'This Day' we Fight on youtube and I have to say Headcrusher sounds very good and while I wasn't sure at the start of 'This Day...' it seemed to develop nicely.
Considering I had some time for Death Magnetic (I still reckon there's three or so good songs on there) I should give this a go though I've not been that bothered by recent Megadeth efforts myself.

Re: Megadeth -End Game
I can't speak for others, but I definitely don't consider myself one of the haterz. For example, I wanted to hate the new Kiss album, but couldn't deny the fact that it's rocking and great fun. Even Death Magnetic give me a good few bits of fun and joy. And on this album, yeah there are a few okay moments - but I think, while it gets off to a pretty good start, it just gets so boring and lifeless and doesn't go anywhere. It doesn't take me on a journey, and it doesn't really make me feel any emotion whatsoever. Dave had hyped this album up as if it were one of his masterworks and the greatest album, and even though I didn't believe a word of it, I still found it so underwhelming. I'd love it if Megadeth made an amazing album, I really would. But this isn't even anywhere near close to what a band this talented should be capable of, in my opinion. I know a lot of people do like this album and think it's a return to form, but I just think it's the same old bollocks, hyped up a little bit more than the last couple of albums.
