Hello. I'm here with the lovely Mr. kushner. We have come up with the following points in favor of the Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner/supper theory:
- Firstly, LUNCH Lady Doris. We know this may be American but hey, its still valid!
- Lunch money/lunch time, terms used at school as opposed to Dinner ladies.
- Luncheon, a great English word, referring to our favorite midday pastime.
- Finally, BRUNCH, its not Brinner idiot!
There you go, fuck off!

I'm a bit of a hybrid, as I always say lunch but I also tend to say tea. "Lunch money" is a valid point, but it was interchangeable with "dinner money" in my day.
Also, you have packed lunch/lunch boxes, but not packed dinner/dinner boxes (unless you are Rik foil-wrapping last night's Spice Boys).

Luncheon, commonly abbreviated to lunch, is a midday meal. In English-speaking countries during the eighteenth century what was originally called "dinner".
