Hahaha. I can relate though - I am reminded of myself when the last couple of Iron Maiden albums came out - I was so excited about them, when I heard them I went mad saying they were amazing and brilliant, and only a little while later on I realise they were, in fact, not so brilliant. Although I do occasionally revisit them with a bit of fondness, as I did today, but still, the excitement of a new album by a big band that you love can sometimes take over and make you think everything's amazing.

There were a few dodgy tracks of course but on the whole it sounded class! I would say through the middle sounded vintage slayer, Toms voice is brilliant and there seemed to be some proper lush riffs in the album.

Of corse we were all really drunk by the end of it (i in true class - managed to throw up on the national express coach home... just infront of my lap ahahahahaha and then proper ran away before bus driver found out lol) and the sound was so loud it was ear splitting, but everyone was headbanging or moshing and i can see this being a good album.

And new Megadeth album is class, you guys are all either expecting: too much from a band that has seen its members age 20 years since last moment of brilliance, or bias against new deth.
And Jon - i find that with leaving that maiden album and returning some time later is the best course of action...although if u want to listen to new maiden Brave New World is still just fucking amazing

I quite like it actually, looks pretty cool considering what a crap name they came up with.

Ignoring the gimmick of having 4 different album covers (anyone who buys all 4 is a fucking idiot), the actual artwork itself is rather bland and boring.

Come on, however much I love Slayer there's no way in hell I'm buying this. Way too many better things to spend my money on, like actually seeing them live and getting to hear some old, good songs. Or seeing a completely different band who can still perform live properly.

Idiot here. I'll be buying all five versions.
Then again, in the last few weeks I've spent over £100 on rare Slayer cds...
Not to mention nearly £60 on tickets.

That 4 covers thing is really, really gay. The least they could do is make 4 different records or something....

But then any ammount of awesomeness left in the music would be diluted so much it'd ALL sound shit instead of having one album with one or two good tracks.

When I was at a place of rocking last night, War Ensemble and Blood Red came on, and I remembered suddenly how much I used to love Slayer.
