My absinthe adventure was last September/October haha

Yes that new years party was fun, playing guitar hero with a budwiser box on my head and you wearing a WW2 German police helmet...then last year was fun until you got ill, then i went to Colchester and made £15

Though worst Christmas was about three years when me Gran had a stroke so it put the brakes on a happy new year, she survived but lead to a good few months of total hell at home.

Christmas is the best thing in the world.

It's truely amazing. White snow or frost outside on the lawn, terrible jumpers on, fun music, logs on the fire, the entire family round for a massive chicken and turkey dinner, pulling crackers, wearing silly crowns, toasting to Great-Gran (she died around Christmas time), getting up silly early to annoy my parents and open the presents, sitting all in the living room after dinner and watching a stand up DVD I got for christmas, Gran secrectly getting tipsy on Baileys in the corner even though she's heavily Christian so she doesn't get drunk, Grandad turning up with presents wrapped in Newspapers from the 1980s, general hugs and that feeling of love, getting phonecalls from everyone giving their best wishes, hearing from so many people who you really don't get to see enough of, Grandad giving me daft advice about things like stock and house prices in insane detail for no reason, having a massive game of Blackjack or Pontoon, then building some massive lego thing for no reason; "Everyone look for a 2x3 blue block!", then saying bye to everyone at the end, knowing no matter what happens in the upcoming year, good or bad, we'll all be here as a family, with nothing but love and care. It's bloody sodding beautiful.

Bring it the shit on.

I remember last Christmas I tried to make my entire family play Lord of the Rings Monopoly and I went mental when my Grandma spilled brandy all over the board. What is everyone's favourite Christmas song? 'Fairytale of New York' goes without saying, but my favourite is probably 'O Holy Nite', because the chorus is the most epic thing ever.

I made my Grandma play as Gimli for added hilarity.

I DESPISE all of the Christmas pop songs. This is probably largely from working at Safeway for two Christmases and hearing them all on loop for hours on end. Plus they absolutely suck.

I do enjoy the odd Christmas carol though, some of my favourites being Silent Night and Hark the Herald Angels Sing.

I love all Christmas pop songs. Wham are awesome. And PROPA CRIMBO...SELECTA!

And Darkness - Don't Let The Bells End....and this version of Santa Claus In Coming To Town I have...where this jazzy band do it live and a black man starts it off by shouting "HEY BABY...YOU BEEN GOOD THIS YEAR?...SANTA GONNA BRING YOU A SPACKING NEW SAXAMAPHONE BABY?! OHH YEAAAHH"

And that Spice Girls one. ALL OF THEM.
