Warbringer - Waking into Nightmares

Just wondering if there are any Warbringer fans on here? I just got the latest album "Waking Into Nightmares" through for review, and well.... its bloody epic!!

Only a few tracks in so far, but it has some really badass riffs and breakdowns!! The vocals are sickiningly brutal,and well the only issue i have so far is that in a few of the tracks the riffs can be very generic/boring untill its almost like they are activated by a vocal hook... So singer will should sound something and as it rolls off his tounge a bad ass breakdown riff will ensue...good headbanging stuff!!

Anyone heard any of their stuff before?

Its pretty bland really. I thought that about their first album, the quality was awful and the playing wasnt tight. Their EP before the first album was great when it came out and i still give that a listen now and again.

Ive listened to it a few times and i really cant decide. At times i think boring...but then it just has these awesome moments. Production isnt brilliant, but themn maybe its done to make it sound more raw !! I have no idea tbh lol

The artwork does look great, but i have the same doubts for this as the first album. One By One, The Wicked Fall was great, so i just dont know whats happened to them.

Seriously, Warbringer are just plain fucking boring. Bucketloads of talent,thats obvious, but their riffs, style and structures are just bland and repetitive. And their production is far too OTT for my liking.

Bonded by Blood are a similar and less shitty alternative, though they're not without flaws themselves.
