Just got back from the gig - firstly, I'd like to apologise to everyone for having to go home straight after we played our set but unfortunately it was out of our control. As soon as we got there, the bar staff at the Bristol Pear started giving us a lot of aggro. To begin with, they ID'd us all for being in the pub and my bassist didn't have any ID on him (he's 22 and wasn't even trying to buy a drink), so they told us that he wasn't allowed in the premises and that he wouldn't be allowed to play the gig. Obviously we ignored this, told them he'd be playing the gig and went upstairs and they didn't mention it again.
Unfortunately, however, my drummer's parents had brought us to the gig and they'd had to bring along Lee's 9 year old brother because otherwise there was nobody to look after him. A while before we went onstage the manager of the Bristol Pear basically came up to us and fed us the same bullshit about under 18 year olds not being allowed on the premises. So you can imagine how angry I was that the two people who'd spent their day running us to a gig and that wanted to watch us play had to sit and wait in their car whilst we played the set - which is why we had to leave straight after we played.
So sorry to all the guys that missed us and to all of you who wanted to have a right good chat after our set. We were all really disappointed that we missed the rest of the bands too.
Despite all this, we felt that we played really well and we hope the people that saw it really enjoyed it. Happy birthday again to Povey and hopefully we'll be back down to Birmingham at some point in the future.

Why do you think he is still sleeping? Rhohypnol lasts for a while you know.
Thanks to Luke, Povey and Charlotte for putting on another cracking gig, pity we missed Heretic though and that a lot of the crowd fucked off early ater HOD (last train and all that), FKU were really good, much better than on CD.
I'm now at work and knackered but it was well worth it!

Re: Reanimator 18th October Brum : FKU,HOD and more.
Amazing! What a wonderful time. I had a terrifying start to the day driving a fucking huge massive van with Savage Messiah, which was quite fun, but as I said, very terrifying indeed. Anyway, we made it (after accidentally knocking the back lights off a parked taxi and lightly scraping a car outside the studios, hooray!), and lots of fun was had, it was wonderful to see all my lovely boys there.
Heretic were bloody very good indeed, the sound was a bit iffy but it always is in that place with that retard of a sound man. He's rubbish. But Heretic weren't. Saltergate was amazing to see again because I bloody love it, and the new song sounded bloody great. I love watching Martin go mental during the songs, it's bloody brilliant.
Doctor Death were bloody awesome! They were on fine hilarious fun boys form, Steve hit some incredible notes with his man voice, and Trav's drumsticks that lit up blue were amazing. They are playing together as a unit much better now, coming along very nicely indeed. Just so much joy watching them, but I bet they're going to be so tired and rubbish when they play Monsta tonight, haha!
I enjoyed Savage Messiah immensely, in fact I think it's the best I've ever seen them play. A lot of energy, a great crowd, and the new songs sounded really bloody brilliant. I'm liking them a hell of a lot more now than I used to, mainly because of the new line up being lovely and consisting of very fine fellows, and then new songs being a bit different and a bit more adventurous. I think their second album is going to be marvellous when they record it.
HOD were also bloody brilliant! When I saw them for the first time at the Purple Turtle I liked them, but didn't enjoy them that much, it felt like they were lacking something. But whatever it was, they definitely had it last night! It was so much fun watching them play, and bloody hell, the singer's voice, amazing! Extra well dones go to the guitarist for wearing a Cleaver T-shirt before they played (Sopranos amazingness), but extra how dare yous for teasing me with that amazing intro, my heart sank when you didn't play Aces High. But it quickly rose again with fun times and joy.
I had to leave after that and missed FKU, which is a bloody shame, but I shall see them tonight, so it's ok. Wonderful, brilliant, great, amazing, lovely, nice.
And happy birthday to Povey!
