I heard half of their last song.... yeah, they were pretty terrible. I've never seen a band pack up and disappear so quickly. Even their mums didn't turn up.... poor chaps.

Dr Death: No diagnosis... not even a prognosis... just thrash.
Nebukadnezza: Metal up your arse
Gama Bomb: They never fail.
big fucking smile on my face all the way home. thanks to all who turned up and of course to the bands. After the brew I am fucking knackered now.... oh yeah... and it was nice of gay jonny to help out
Erm... thanks? It's ok though, I work in that horrible little place and had the good fortune of finally doing the sound for a decent night! It was a great one (apart from the first band, which is a great example of the many downsides of that job), Doctor Death continued on their mighty triumph from Metalbrew, they really have improved quite a bit recently in terms of their playing - the songs have always been brilliant, but they now finally seem more confident with each other and are getting that little bit tighter, which is nice. Nebukadnezza are just the fucking best, I love them (your description was pretty perfect there, Dazza). And Gama Bomb were bloody great fun (and lovely chaps to work with, too), I finally bought my copy of Citizen Brain and have enjoyed it thoroughly in the car today. And the night for me was finished off with some KFC and a bit of a smoke, and some Robocop. Couldn't have ended any better!
Great treats for all.

I was referring to your friend, the singer from Nebukadnezza, who said "we've got an extra member, gay John!" as you tweaked something one stage.... I guess you were too busy doing your job! No offence dude

i liked how upset donny got with jon, that was good.
Enjoyed the gig, had a blast playing and then had 2 more watching Nebs and G-max. also glad that the gama's enjoyed my latest installation of vinyl treats (in the shape of a Boney M lp - i knew paul would love it!) and had a nice nice hanging with them, i think we may have babies one day.

He didn't get upset with me, I gave him a kiss afterwards anyway just to make sure, and he enjoyed it a lot. I said 'you want some gay jon?', and he said 'yes please, safe blud.'

ha ha, I'm frightened Jon will rape me. I'm your basic mid 70's metal head: 6'1", long blonde wavy hair, fat, metal tshirt, blue jeans... erm... I'll wear a tshirt that says I AM METALDAZZA at Apocalyptic Rage!

That was certainly alot of fun! Philly literally dragged me on stage at the end which very nearly led to a disastrous trip over the drum kit for me, bloody tiny Bar Monsta stage.
Dr. Death and Nebukadnezza were both excellent, as always.

what a great night,i kind of spent my time in the worlds end pub with Carl/Faraz and the Nebz dudes during the first set.
timed it just perfectly to get there in time for doctor deaths splendid set.they played so well considering how drained they must have been from metalbrew.
same goes with Nebukadnezza as Donny and Fred too had performed/partied at metalbrew in thier other bands.
the rumble went down during this set, mainly thanks to Carl "politely" going down the entire front row asking "whos up for a bit of movement?" before starting the onslaught.that was cool because in bar monsta to all of a sudden have a smackdown begin is sometimes risky as the stage is soooo low,so at least everyone was prepared and it worked out well.
Gama Bomb was amazing, being in london for me,was better than thier colchester set last thurs.there was much more involvement from the between the band and crowd, lots more familiar faces and a lot more laughs to be had.i was thrilled that Philly stepped down and passed the mic for us to chant into.i managed to karaoke the "you see i got this problem,i dont like cops, and cops dont like meeeee!" during OCP
what a lovely gift Jamie gave the guys in the for of a Boney M record.Paul the drummer was really looking it over and oblivious to the rest of the band/crowd.he was totally engrossed in the record and show us the inside fold out pic of the cheesy photo of the Boney M crew
there was plenty more pushing and shoving during final fight and othr song as well as people joint linking up to headbang.
and another classic stage invasion,Spencer, the look on your face when being the first to be dragged up by Philly,
i thought you were gonna be asked to do the next song or something
but then it was obvious when he dragged the second person up that he wanted us all up there to chant zombie brew and unite to headbang(im surprised how many people can actually physically fit on that stage.)
great times with great people!!

Weirdest thing about the gig was the proprietor (evil Jabba) squatting outside when we came in... and when we left 3 hours later. Did he move? Had his skiff broken down? More importantly, does he have Cliff Burton frozen in carbonite? (The cost of keeping him in stasis is the only way I can explain 4 quid for a can of Strongbow).
Nice job all, had a good time. Saw a bit of the first band, they were a bit emo but hey, respect to them for getting out there and playing. Doctor Death get better each time. Neb leaves me cold tbh but Gama Bomb were good fun as always.
Final rant - seriously dudes, get some ear plugs! Ears generally can't be fixed once they're fucked, trust me. The sound at MetalBrew was the best sound I've ever had at a gig -- I think largely because it wasn't bowel-rupturingly loud.
