You're going to have to face facts that a five second lightsaber fight isn't enough for something as awesome as Star Wars. We need more cheesy ten minute epics.

Nah.

The lightsaber duel between Luke and Vader at the end of Return of the Jedi was tits. The music, plus the complete lack of finesse with which Luke hacked off Vader's hand, made it. None of this Yoda prancing around bollocks.

But whatever.

I meant we didn't need any more lightsaber duels when we had that one.

The Obi-Wan-Vader one was a bit gant anyway. It wasn't so much a duel as two sillies running around trying not to get melted. I guess it was more epic than Alec Guinness's twirl from 1977 but it was hardly more memorable. Well, apart from the oft-cited 'I hate you!' that is so hilarious.

Anakin vs Obi-Wan is insanely unbelievably amazing. Super mega jawdroppingly gob stoppingly yum. It was sheer pleasuredome.

I just love it when he screams, "FROM MY POINT OF VIEW THE JEDI ARE EVIL!" Really, what a thing to say in the midst of an epic duel.

Yeah that's my favourite line from the whole film. My second favourite is:

"NOT.... FROM A JEEDDDIIIIII!"

Especially seeing as he'd spent the past 15 years being trained as one. That's not the power of the Dark Side; that's just shoddy training.

 Palpatine really does have some extraordinarily classic moments in that film.
