Yeah - I saw Megadeth/Sanctuary and Anthrax/Testament at Manchester Apollo. Probably the best Megadeth gig I ever saw despite (or maybe because of) Mustaine being off his face.
Also used to see Wolfsbane a lot - Blaze was always very approachable, even though I always tried to get him pissed before they went on stage. He didn't usually drink before gigs though - claimed he was saving his voice. They were a great live band - anybody else see them ? First time I saw them was at Manchester International supporting the Quireboys. I remember getting on satge at some point towards the end but falling off as I was hammered. Good times.

Ha ha... Wolfsbane!!! They were my first "club" gig when i was 16. Before that it was only the Edinburgh Playhouse for me. Wolfsbane were quite entertaining though in a kind of bad Van Halen sort of way. What was their first album called?? "Live Fast...Die Fast" or something. Have it on tape somewhere.

Old Bastard more like!! I only started going to gigs with Scoob after 89 so i missed out on all those classic oldies. He keeps all his old ticket stubbs in a box by the way. It is like Heavy Metal trainspotting

At least he can remember who he has seen. I started going to gigs in '86 and can't remember half of them.

I've seen Maiden 5 times so far, which I don't think is bad for a younger fan... but it's not enough!

How do you think i feel, I not managed to get to one of their gigs once.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

I saw the greatest ever British thrash band:
SLAMMER
in Reading in about 1989/90, they were supporting CRIMSON GLORY.

(Please read the first line above in an "ironic" tone.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Remeber seeing Death Angel play the Hammersmith Odeon on the Act III tour along with Forbidden and a couple of other bands (whose names escape me). There was probably no more than 200 people in the place (made it a bit more special) I was planning to see Udo Dirkschneider at the Marquee, but he had a heart-attack before the gig. So Death Angel were second choice...Thank God I went..they were great live.
