Anyone else on here like to get the Led out?
For me Zeppelin are one of the few essential bands. The live DVD nearly blew my balls off.
My favourite album is probably Led Zep 3. A great mixture of hard rock, blues and acoustic folk.
Opinions?

Physical Graffiti! Amazing mix of styles, but still all with the unique Zeppelin sound. Trampled Under Foot is just about the funkiest, most danceable song ever made.

I think Jimmy and Robert did too.

I not really got into the much, but i do own the Remeasters CD. I love Dazed and Confused though. I just feel with bands the Led Zeppelin, that if you are a rock fan you must like bands like them. when people try to ram bands like that it does kind of put you off. Still they have got a few songs which i really do like.
When Plant and Page did the MTV unplugged thing. I did like that though, thats probally what got me listening to Zeppelin in the end.

Obviously I meant Page/Plant.

Just out of interest, do you get the same thing with thrash? I.e. with Metallica, Megadeth, Exodus?

Aye, I was right into LZ when I was a nipper but then I realised that bands like Deep Purple and KISS were much better.

They were a tighter, more consistent band. Plus they weren't such appalling Willie Dixon rip offs.

i thought you said you liked great guitar albums? Zeppelin were much more technical using a wide range of influences (not just willie Dixon). They didn't have to rely on gimmicky face paints and ultra cheesey pop tunes for popularity. Consistent? Didn't KISS go disco??
