In all seriousness though, Amenti really are a poor quality band.

Both me and Luci know the guy and he IS in Amenti. You can't change your name to cover your fuck ups. I didnt like him or the band they they were supposed to play a gig in wakefield with Hallowed Point. Pulled out of the gig and never said anything to anyone before the gig just never showed up.

I thought it was a bit suss when they were added to the whole tour, but then I figured they might of paid to be on it.

There from Stoke and have asked to play at Reanimator a couple of times, but we politely refused just saying they dont fit in with our sound.

God I loved Reanimator, one of the highlights of 2007*, such a great atmosphere. Povey and the guys are total legends.

* Got the year wrong

Believe me as a band you were probably the most hospitable hosts we've had. You provided food, help and advice and were all really friendly cool guys to chat with.

And I meant 2007.

Your just being nice, cause I gave you that vinyl haha, but thanks we are all just there to have a good time and fun, I figure.

Promoters/Bands/Punters alike, I think its why we have always been so successful.

Well in that case that makes them double twats for a) fucking Destruction over and b) lying to everyone about it

fucking idiots, they deserve all the bad mojo they get from this, no matter the repercussions on their band!!!!

Does anyone else remember a while back a thread about touring with Destruction it was a proper post from the band saying they would have to pay x amount of euro's to be on the tour.

It was ethier that or I recieved a email from them, I remember us all joking about it tho (how cool it would be etc).

In retrospect, Even tho the tour was a sham, If I was working with a unknown UK tour promoter, I would of wanted some proof of previous work with other bands/tours etc.

(If) Amenti did fuck them over to get some xposure in the UK scene, it is a pretty shitty way to do it, but then Destruction were offered x amount of money for the tour and HGP or whatever they were called were the best bid. Over say Arcane or Yellow Dog.

It does annoy me that promoting is a cut throat bussiness, Ive never made any money out of it, Other then some good friends and some good times and thats what its all about.

i hear you there homes!

my sentiments exactly, i love putting on shows and meeting bands etc, but i think the most i've ever made out of promoting has been a couple of free drinks. if your sole purpose of putting on the show is to make money then inevitably the music, crowd and bands suffer. You've got to really love what you are doing to make a show work, and i don't mean in a profit making sense, that should always be a lower priority.

This whole situation sounds so fucked up! We played on the bill in Glasgow and i can recall it being SO unorganised when we got there! Doors where at 7 and at 6pm NOTHING was set up at all! The crew were all running about like headless chickens, it was a shambles!
Mind you Destruction were being complete wankers to be honest! No doubt becuase of the mess of the tour in general but still it was pretty disheartening to see legends like them acting like a bunch of bitches!!
Onslaught were all pretty sound guys tho sao that was moral boosting!
As for Amenti, they were fucking shite! They were trying like a bear to get the crowd onside but needless to say they failed. No-one gave any sort of applause and insult shouting was rife! I left my bag in whith there gear and when i got it back my ipod had been stole from it, was probably those cunts! I hope they die!
Clearly im more built than you.

Same here, didn't get why they where on the whole tour considering they're shite and theres better UK bands to have as support.
