Patches

Postby James on Thu May 04, 2006 11:07 pm

I came to the shocking realization that I don't have a single Judas Priest patch :( I was wondering if any people liked to collect patches, and if they have any to swap or something.

I have 2 Megadeth patches (an atomic symbol one and a strip one) which I'd be up for swapping.

Any "patchers" in here? (I just made up that word by the way)

I've got a load of Motorhead patches I'm getting fucked onto my leather waistcoat. It only has a giant "Bastards" back patch at the moment. I'm in the middle of collecting Thrash patches for a biker jacket - currently I have ones by Sabbat, Assassin, Onslaught, D.R.I., Celtic Frost, Darkness, Destruction and Overkill. Waiting to get my mitts on some nice Kreator, Mortal Sin, Sodom, Annihilator, Dark Angel etc.

Has anyone any idea for a back patch? (Good) Thrash back patches are few and far between. The ones I've spotted on eBay look pretty shite.

I have a few patches, which I'll probably one day make into a jacket, but I always end up thinking about buying patches, and then buying more records instead.

yeah this is true, I usually can't be arsed wasting money on pieces of fabric when I could be buying music. That's why I haven't got any new ones for ages.

In fact, I've got loads of Iron Maiden patches (cos they are sold everywhere), and hardly any others!

I would love a Dark Angel patch.

Here are mine, I have just started collecting:

Metallica - Unknown pushead design.
Sepultura - Beneath The Remains.
Tankard - The Meaning Of Life.
Atrophy - Socialized Hate.
Exodus - Fabulous Disaster.
Onslaught - Logo.
Obituary - Logo.

I need more!

My denim jacket has a big Death backpatch (ITP era) with the following around it (front and back)-
Slayer - Seasons In The Abyss (Iron Eagle logo)
Anacrusis - logo (proud of that one)
Hammerfall - Crimson Thunder
Sepultura - logo
Onslaught - The Force
Flotsam & Jetam - No Place For Disgrace
Gwar - logo
Iron Maiden - Fear Of The Dark
Metallica - ...And Justice For All
Celtic Frost - group pic, vanity era
Guns N Roses - Use Your Illusion 1&2
Tankard - The Meaning Of Life

Got some Ensiferum & Moonsorrow on the way atm as well.

The Death backpatch is such a great conversation starter, so many Death fans have come up to me in gigs and started talking to me. Heh I remember this one guy at the Nuclear Assault + Heathen gig at the Underworld with a Death tattoo on his arm yammering on about Death for ages to me (he was pretty drunk)...ah, the days!
