Well done lads, its great news. You'll get a lot of people talking trash, but fuck em! They're jealous!
Proud to say we've played with this band twice, and on both occasions found the company to be excellent, great guys and really talented musicians. Go for it!

The thing I feel you have to be careful with when it comes to these labels, is that whilst they are good to spread the word of the band, helping them get better gigs (or rather, helping them get a booking agent who will get the good gigs for the band, whilst the label try and take a percentage out of their fee...) and potentially launch them to the next step in their career, they can also potentially fuck you over, making sure you don't make any money forever and screw up your life. Some labels don't realise people in bands are still human beings who need to make a bit of a living to stay alive. Whilst in Mutant we still haven't really made any money for ourselves personally, we've probably made a hell of a lot more money for the band then we'd ever earn out of being signed at the moment. Then again, I guess it's all down to trying to negotiate a good deal with a label who actually have an interest in the band musically, and not just financially.
I wish lots of good luck to Savage Messiah though, Dave in particular has always been a very driven and focussed guy, I worked with him on the demos for their last album and had a lot of fun doing it. He knows what he wants, and he'll probably get it, I just hope they don't get screwed over in the process.

Congrats Dave! As a former member of S.M. I can honestly say Dave is a bloody good guy as are all the rest of those guys. I have never worked with a guitarist with such shred like chops before or since. He and the rest of the S.M guys deserve a long career in music no doubt. I look forward to crossing paths with them again in the future...

Jon's just jealous because I played bass for S.M for a little bit (covering while they were looking for a new one - who I believe was Chris above!) and he didn't!
So, Jon, ner ner!
