Radiohead were never a britpop band, they just got lumped in with those bands for the medias ease.

The Bends is Brit Pop.

The Bends is still my favourite. There are a couple songs I'd have left of OK Computer though Let Down hands down beats anything off of the The Bends.

Radiohead are pretty cool, Bends & OK Computer were the best, though there were some quite great songs on Kid A and Amnesiac (was that the album name?).. didn't like the new one that much (the one with There, There on)

Anyone heard this yet? Really enjoyed my first listen. Seems like HTTT in terms of being very much a mixed mood Radiohead record. No obvious vocal hooks, but loads of superb melodies, really interesting guitar playing and great metronomic drumming. Looking forward to lots more spins.

I was going to download it but then realised it would take me years to get over how bad it was, so I didn't.

What the fuck is up with people who don't like Radiohead after Ok Computer? Seriously, all their albums after then have been great, just listen to them, they are just as good. Thats the thing with Radiohead, the first listen sounds kind of crap, then it really grows on you.

New one should be cool.

I listened to Kid A so much and I wanted to love it. But, as someone who loved the Bends when it came out, I just fucking hated it! I bought Amnesiac too but I just didn't like where they were going. I still listen to the first three albums all the time, but there albums since 2000 have just sounded like an elephant seal wanking in my ear.

Honestly, I've never been so gutted as when I first heard Kid A. Three years of eager anticipation for that?!

Brought this for a mate who has no computer. Paid 1p for it! There are very very few Radiohead tracks that I like, Creep being one, but in general they are a band that I really can't see what all the fuss is about. Everyone has a band like this and Radiohead are mine.

I don't agree with the track listing on The Bends. Planet Telex is a stupid song to open with for such a Rock-ish album and Bones and Nice Dream sort of slow the album down too much for me. Sulk should have been the second or third track because that song needed to be heard (when they recorded it they thought the song was the hit from the album).
