Yeah I thought it was a fantastic day and if anything the weather will probably make it more memorable, looking back.

Really great collection of various bands, from blistering thrash to glacial atmospheric doom and fist-pounding heavy metal!

Quite gutting we had to leave after only one Evile song (they sounded blinding!), and didn't have time to trudge around in the dark dishing out proper goodbyes - even more gutting that we could have stayed for the whole set probably, because the bus was so horribly late. :wall: <-- sums it up perfectly.

Hail to Jon, Jamie, Stu, Caps and everyone else who battled (quite literally in Caps' case) through the torrential downpours and guagmires to make it such a success!

Bow to your knees and repent if you please!

S'y'la'er.

Yeaaarghhhhh!!!! That was awesome! I was worried it was gonna be a total wash-out with all the rain, but luckily it stopped in time for mutant to rip my face off with a face-off ripping set! Also, Olde Crone put my face back on with hypnotic incantations, then Crowning Glory subsequently ripped my face off again.

Evile then put my face back on, then ripped it off again.

Twice.

Wicked! Thanks to the organisers and the bands, it was great! :rockdevil:

Fucking mother of jesus-lucifer!

What an amazing day, for 98% i literally had no idea what was going on, passing out after Mutant (Who's set was sexual madness) and having people sit on my lap and take photos (Any idea who?)

My next vauge memory is walking about with Mike, something to do with the merch stall. Beer bonging tennents super (Which is 100% THE worst thing i have ever tasted. Then BREAKING THE LAW! and the Evile stage invasion.

What a fucking blast, sign me up for next year i am sold.... today however has been a total bitch. A hangover in my pants. Followed by a car crash in my pants. Followed by waiting to get towed, not in my pants. Then what seems like 50,000 years to clean my clothes in my pants oh and the futile use a hairdryer on my shoes.

Edit: Lets see some more of these fucking picture and videos then mother cuntfags!
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

Just a quick before I leave to graduate...

Basically thanks to everyone who came down. The crowd was certainly the best we've ever had. It rained last year, and people just sat inside until it cleared up, this year people came in their droves through the rain, and stayed out to cheer on bands. Fucking awesome. Whilst it was the most stressful year for me, it was also my favourite. The memories are fucking awesome. I don't have one highlight of the day. I fucking loved every band who played. Felt really bad about having to cut sets so much, but if we didn't, people really would have died.

Money wise, we did alright... could have been better, but given the weather, could have been a lot lot worse. We'll just have to crack on with the mini-brews to raise some funds.

Was really cool to see a lot of faces from here, a big thanks for coming down. We'll have to look into some kind of 'brew on the road' so we can come to you next time!

Fuck.

Thanks for having us and thanks for staying out in the rain while we played. I had to leave after Crowning Glory as they blew my tiny mind.

Cheers
Mazz of thee Battlewitch.

We have some nice footage of people going crazy for Mutant. One chap waving a chair in the air and one chap lying on the ground waving his arms about.

I think I have caught some kind of VIRUS! I'm not talking about the bad Iron maiden song.

Good work on the chair waving. I think it is going to make it onto the Battlewitch DVD. I think the DVD is not going to have any Battlewitch stuff on it just lots of sweet gig going ACTION! :D

Mazz, we had the whole thing filmed on about 5 cameras. Not sure how the footage is gonna turn out, but I'll check it all out soon. If all's good, I've got no problems sending you the DV tapes when we're done with them so you can steal some footage. Should have a decent-ish soundboard recording as well...

Of course I could be speaking much too soon, and it could all be total crap, but we shall see...

Amazingf amazing amazinginadf4e.

That was the most stressful and perhaps least enjoyable Metalbrew yet for me because of all the madness that had to be done all day, but it was also the best line-up and the most memorable Brew yet because of everything! Seeing all these comments and knowing that everyone had such a good time makes it feel so rewarding, especially as we managed to get through it to the end! We had a final clear of the field today and all is back to normal. It was very strange looking upon the rugby field and seeing nothing, it was all over so quickly. But good lord, there you go. Year number 4 is complete!

Unbelievable basically. Cheers everyone!

Oh and by the by, me and Jamie went back to Rich's today to listen ot the soundboard recordings. Unfortunately we only got 4 of the bands' sets (Crowning Glory, Battlewitch, Evile and 2 Kings) due to raining madness and having to keep cutting the power, but they sound pretty good! Especially Battlewitch's Doom or Die finale, brilliant and hilarious stuff! Hopefully there'll be some tracks up on the pyspace site very soon for your pleasures and funs.

YO! just wanted to say thankyou to the organisers supreme for letting us be a part of metalbrew, all the time and money and organisation you lot put in was much appreciated, its good to know people are willing organize things like metalbrew. we're chuffed you asked us to play, and its always a pleasure to be musically assaulted by mutant. genius. it was wet. very wet. but also very sexual, its ace to see all the good feedback on how much people enjoyed themselves. regardless of pissy weather of shitpiss, just goes to show how dedicated metallers are to the thing we all love the most......

SEEING PEOPLE FALL OVER IN MUDDY FIELDS.
