I can't even work out what that Pantera front cover is! Looks like a Twister ice cream up someone's arse.

Not bad! I think my best haul was finding four copies of Projections of a Stained Mind LP, Deliverance 'Devil's Meat' LP, Deathrow 'Raging Steel' LP and some more gems for a quid each.

What chain of Charity shops was it? A lot of them wont carry 'offensive material'. A friend of a friend worked for a cancer charity and their head office has a massive office devoted to music memorabilia, they make millions from sifting out rare LP's and selling them to collectors. They hire music historians (imagine Paul Gambaccini but with a big beard) to maximise profits.

It's good for you but I do feel sorry for the dude who had to give up his epic collection of metal for some reason.

it was a local charity, not a national charity chain. As for the dude who gave them up, why do u feel sorry for him? He didnt want them anymore and gave em away. He must be well off enuff to do that rather than sell them himself. I need monies more than him obviously haha.

Ignore me, I'm just being sentimental about someone's metal collection.

Nice haul!! When I started my third year in college I found a massive cache of mega vinyl in a games shop near the campus - I spent over £100 of my student loan (this was 1996 though) on some serious classics - Scum in 3 different colours, both grind crusher LPs, basically most of the the early Earache catalogue. It was a splendid day...I was so excited!

Charity shops and markets are awesome for good hauls. I managed to pick up the gate fold of forest of equilibrium for £2 in Cambridge....I looked online at discogs.com and it was going for $100+!!!!

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has dreamed of stumbling upon super cool vinyl hauls in obscure junk shops... then you wake up and realise you don't actually have any of the amazing records you bought in dreamland. My best non-dream find may have been Massacre's 'From Beyond' LP for a fiver in a tiny shop in Camberwell, it seems quite hard to come by.
