Hmm. Not sure what to make of this. I'm certain that Larry Lalonde wouldn't play since he pretty much disowns Possessed. Becarra does still sing from his wheelchair though - he's done live vocals with Sadistic Intent for Possessed covers.

If this is for real it's incredible news, not least because it features 3 of the current best death metal bands too.

What 'possessed' someone to make a fake gig poster?

Nah, seriously I am gutted, whoever made it is a dickhead.

Metal Ireland forums:

just found out and got in contact with the guy organizing the tour. he has no idea on who did this flyer. but, indeed, they are working to make this thing happen. but: nothing is confirmed yet.

Reliable source. What a fucking gig it would be!

Yeah, I've also heard that it's the guys from Mortem in tandem with a German promoter organising this and that they already have shows booked.

James wrote:This is amazing! I don't understand how Possessed can be featuring Jeff Beccera though, he's paralyzed!!

I really hope this is genuine, and not some dreaming fan's creation.

Jeff is in a wheelchair,he can't walk but he can still sing.
He performed possessed songs a few years back with the band Sadistic Intent.
And I know for a fact that Jeff is writing lyrics again for Possessed songs, and that he might record them with members from Sadistic Intent, but I know nothing of a tour.

I'll ask him next time I see he's online.

Would be cool though to see Possessed again after 20 years, last time I saw them was in 1986.

Jeff came to the TFTP party we had 2 years ago just outside San Francisco. I didn't go, but everyone said he got hammered, was offensive as fuck to everyone and then got stopped by the cops when he tried to drive home.
Apparently if he hadn't been in a wheelchair already a few people wanted to put him in one.

Hopefully I will get to go to a TFTP party one day and reenact Jeff's performance!

I hope it is true cuz i missed em first time round (they only played the UK once i believe with VOI VOD & ENGLISH DOGS) got it on tape somewhere, but not quite the same. Even without Jeff It could be possible if Mike Torrao re-reformed them again! Shame Larry Lalonde has dismissed the band out of hand, wouldn't ever be the same really!!!
Like when i saw DEATH in birmingham in about '89, when the band toured without chuck (officially for health reasons, but unofficially cuz the band and chuck fell out and the band were going to be sued if they never fulfilled their contract), it really wasnt the same even though Bill Andrews and Terry Butler still played, the guitarist was RIPPING CORPSE man Walter Trashler, and Devastation drummer (and death roadie) Lois Carrisalez stood in on vocals!!!!!!!!!
