Extremely hard platformer with an excellent Sci-Fi story. Not sure how popular it was but it's a great game.

I don't know what you've got/not got already, but here are some of the best games ever made in my opinion:
You've probably heared of most of these though.

Super Probotector (best game ever made)
Rock n Roll Racing (fucking awesome music)
Super Metroid (YESSSS!!!!)
F-Zero (best music ever)
Super Turrican 2
Flashback (as mentioned by Dian Wei, it's fucking great)
Killer Instinct
Street Fighter II (obviously!!)
Mario Kart
Super Mario All Stars
Battletoads in Battlemaniacs (I see you have that one)
Battletoads vs Double Dragon (ace music)
Super Swiv (hard as fook!)
R-Type
Double Dragon 4
Syndicate
Beavis and Butthead (classic!)
Act Raiser (amazing!)
Sim City
Street Racer
Total Carnage
Smash TV
Zelda Link to the Past
Starwing
Mortal Kombat 1 2 and 3

Oh my god SNES's were the fucking best!!
I've just dug mine out the other week. Got the Starwars games on it, but I need the american cartridge converter to play it. The only problem with SNES games is that the memory is crap. I've saved games on stuff, then gone back and it's deleted itself because it's so old.

Awww man, that game is fucking great! It's the most metal game ever made. Soooooooooooo awesome!!

the snes cartridges which had a memory/save function were actually fitted with a 2032/2016 sized battery.(similar looking to a 10p coin)
like with all batteries, over time, they run out/go flat.there is a way of changing them but it means taking the cartridge apart to get at the battery.its a bit risky really if the game is rare or collectible.

there is a site called consolepassion which changes them professionally for £5. plus the postage costs to send it to them.(if its very rare you may wanna do special delivery £5 each way)
alternatively you could buy a new copy of the game on ebay(if the cart is under £10 or so)

it just depends how much you really want to play through the game again i suppose.

also another thing which wipes uk cartridge game saves is if you use them in a game converter. its better to use a cheap or basic PAL game which doesnt use a save function(ie:streetfighter 2)in any converters when running a jap/U.S import game.that way you wont risk losing data.

some US RPGs are a pain if you run them through a converter coz they sometimes wipe as they arent running directly through the console.
i got so fed up of losing chrono trigger and breath of fire game saves so i got a modded snes instead and it stopped the problem.

just some suggestions and helpful/useless info :D

i bought my modded snes from this site when the guy running it was first starting out a couple of years ago.
http://www.consolepassion.co.uk/modific ... ntendo.htm
its had a revamp and they have come a long way and progressed as one of the leading retrogame suppliers.
the mods section was a dream come true when i first saw it introduced on the site.
i think the mods section has become so popular these days that theyve lowered the prices since i got mine a few years back.

its best to keep a PAL snes for your uk games coz for some reason my modded snes played my uk games in black and white on my older t.v(which was still a pretty modern lcd).
it all depends on your t.v.settings and how old it is coz you need an RGB scart lead.i got 3 generic gamecube/n64/snes scart lead on ebay.make sure scart has the gold tip and the red/yellow/white sockets.(you know like on an xbox360 its a detachable/optional scart block on the end of the branching red/white/yellow cable inserts)
hard to explain without a pic.
basically i tried 2 'fixed' scart leads which were silver tipped and they didnt work(on my old t.v)

after i upgraded my t.v a year or so later i tested the old cables just out of interest and they played my uk games in colour after all.so through trial and error it was actually my particular t.v which was to blame. its lucky i didnt complain and go through refund processes etc coz the guy who runs the site was telling truth after all and didnt do me a shoddy snes which i first thought might have been the problem.he was helpful when i originally emailed him with my problems.

anyway,i see he has added even more mod options since i bought my 'fully' modded one ages ago.

but yeah, order a mod snes for american rpg's and all them jap games which had 'region lockout technology'(basically some games which would not play through converters or consoles overseas).

only game i ever bought which didnt work on anything was super mario rpg.£80 off ebay!!!! but i concluded that the seller was a cunt as he was mysteriously selling 6 copies of this rare game(all mint). he wasnt even a seller about a week later so i guess i was screwed over. although i binned the cart,i still sold the contents ie:box/manual/posters etc for £40.(not a bad recoup, better than nothing)

anyway reason i say about this is just as a warning on this particular game(incase the game did work, but only in america on an official US snes)
it didnt load at all on my 2 snesses or 2 game converters.
EDIT:typical,i just read his mod page in full and saw that mario rpg and sf alpha ONLY work on snesses in their original countries.wish i knew that a year or 2 back lol.(i guess through feedback/testing etc the guy has found this out over the last few years AND i bet a lot of people did the same as me and found out first hand/the hard way with mario rpg :-( )

also super mario rpg is on the wii virtual console for about £8 so...
