Megadeth vs Metallica

Oh I went there. The controversial topic, the divide which splits most followers of Heavy Metal: Is the metal produced by either of these bands superior to the other?

1983-1989 = Metallica
1990-Present = Megadeth

Had drunken gatherings turn into near brawls many times from trying to answer this question. Megadeth are marginally better now, but overall Metallica KILL them. The best Megadeth records (and in my opinion there's only two very good ones) come nowhere near Metallica's first three meisterwerks.

I prefer Megadeth, but theres no doubting that Metallica were a very good band.

hardest question ever! I think I'm gonna have to go for Metallica mainly for the first 4...gah but Megadeth released Rust In Peace which is a fucking masterpiece.

Ok here goes.......Metallica...I said it. That was such an emotional struggle.

I've always been much more of a 'tallica fan.

As much as i love Megadeth i'm not really interested in any of there albums after Rust In Peace, the only Metallica i don't overly enjoy is St. Anger.

They're both garbage but Metallica are worse. They just cry like girls and talk about their feelings all the time.
