I just find it amazing how Gama Bomb members can complain as often as they do about the amount of insults that get thrown around here towards bands, then do that.

What we do on here is a joke, and as much as we diss the bands we don't actually mean any harm by it all. You guys have a problem with that when we're doing it, but when you're publically smashing other bands CDs just because they're not as elite as you super cool thrashers?

Insanity.

These rections are understandable, and we knew this would be an unpopular call with some people, but this is supposed to be a bit of fun and not taken too seriously. It's a fluffy idea to get a bit of scandal before a tour that needs to be brought to people's attention.

We genuinely don't give a flip what music people listen to, it's just a fun concept to encourage this 'purist' thrash notion with a silly PR stunt based on the Bible belt Beatles album-burning incident.

If people throw our own albums at us we'll have to laugh. Remember, we've been unpopular before and don't particularly care if we're ruffling feathers by getting a bit of talk going. That said, let's all take a step back here and see this for what it is, a bit of a chuckle. No need for fisticuffs.

We thought it would be funny, and we still do. There's no further need for us to defend this.

If you don't want to get behind it that's fine, but if you do, it'll be a laugh. That's my two cents.

All I could think about when I read that was the danger it could cause. Imagine all those bits of broken plastic everywhere, jesus almighty.

It is a bit of silliness, but I think people are going a bit over the top with how upset they are here. It's not a big deal, just a bit of silly fun. Gama Bomb are a bunch of lovely boys and if any of you met them you would find it impossible not to like them. If you don't like the music fine, but that's completely different and doesn't call for personal insults! Saying that, this thing is the kind of thing I would find funny if I was about 15, but fuck it, there will be a lot of 15 year olds having fun with this and becoming Gama Bomb fans in return, so why not? I'm pretty sure Gama Bomb aren't basing their career around trying to please UKThrash.co.uk, so let them have their fun and good luck to them.

to me it reminds me more of the whole late 80s heavy metal bashing stuff that went on, particularly in the USA where record burning ceremonies were held, and it made headline news. It went far beyond a joke tho, as you should all know, as it ended up with court cases against judas preist and ozzy etc.

Paul Baloff may have been in Exodus but, given the chance to bottle Warren DeMartini, I bet Warren would have kicked Baloff's cunt. That's what kind of annoys me with this 'Inferior Metal' chat; Thrashers are all talk and no trousers. I bet if Adema were to hit it big in, say Japan, and for some bizarre reason they wanted Gama Bomb to open for them, Gama Bomb would stick glass up their Jap's eyes for the privilege to do so.

I mean, Gama Bomb and Evile are happy to tour with bands like Exodus and Megadeth and those bands are now putting out stuff that is way worse than Significant Other by Limp Bizkit. The only difference between Exodus now and Nu-Metal bands then is that Exodus should know better. I just hope that people have the savvy to throw their copies of The System Has Failed and Thrash Anthems in with the lot when they're purging their CD racks of Nu-Metal...

as a thrasher of the time, i have to be honest and say that most of the banter back then was just friendly (from my experience anyway). I mean, i remember standing at the front for a tigertailz gig and me and my mate heckling them really bad from start to finish, and not one hair metal fan took offence!!!

I did find it kind of difficult at nottingham rock city tho, cuz i used to walk around 3/4s pissed eyeing up girls arses n stuff (as you do) and discovering when they turned round that half of them were blokes, it was seriously that bad at times!!!!

I'm keeping my CD's for the Earache nu metal revival penned in for 2015. We're going to try and support Crazy Town headlining at bloodstock. Come my baby come come my baby.......
