Hyades seriously? I have And The Worst Is Yet To Come and the only really decent track is the into one.
Merciless Death are quite good as well, i forgot about them.

Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

It's people like you who stop the genre from expanding, and ultimately, the genre will die soon as a result of peoples unwillingness to listen to 'new thrash'
hmm..... u have your point
but, the old feeling of thrash metal
can't be create after 1992 or 3
thrash never be the same like it was
so, excuse me,
I'm really possessed by old sch thrash

They only just scraped in but I really quite like The Worst... A lot of the songs sound quite similar but there's a daft sense of humour there which I quite like. I was thinking about adding Fueled By Fire but I haven't listened to Spread the Fire for ages so I can't really remember how good/bad/indifferent it was.

I wouldn't say Ghoul or Engorged are thrash bands Pove! Thrash influenced maybe. Funerot are fucking excellent, I reckon a few people on here might enjoy their stuff, look them up.
I liked the last Hyades album too, but I wouldn't rate them as a great force in the new wave of thrash or anything. Victimiser are fucking brilliant. Violator too.
I think the thrash resurgence has started to hit the point where some distinctly mediocre bands are getting some press now and theres a lot of them on peoples lists here!

Ghoul was a thrash band on their first album then they turned to Death/grind with thrash influences. Their debut is awesome but after that to much death/grind for me.
Top 5 for me right now are (No order)
Wardeath - Yeah listen to these guys. Fast and fairly vicious with a pure 80s feel. I hope they go far.
Alcoholizer - These guys came out of nowhere for me. Pretty standard but really well done. Their demo is available on myspace for free download.
PC Death squad - Crossover with vocals just liek the Beastie Boys and heavy moshing riffs.
Aggression (spain) - Has a similar combination of thrash and heavy metal a Angelus Apatrida and really good.
The Law - More modern than what I am used to but I like them a lot. very catchy and not groove! Vocalist has a great set of pipes and sings in Dickinson style.
Oh and Evil Army is fucking great to so make that 6 right now. similar feel to Toxic Holocaust except the vocals don't sound so black metalish.

Are we talking about the same Ghoul? The first album is the grindiest by FAR, and the thrash influence has become more prevelent in the later stuff.
Evil Army are fucking killer! Can't believe I forgot those guys.

I saw Dissector get in a tiff in a record shop in San Francisco just because Ghoul were where in the category Death Metal, So make that what you will He also works in a record shop in Santa Cruz so he should know haha
All jokes a side
WCFTD - Grind
Maniaxe - Death/Thrash
Splatterthrash - Thrash
Splatterthrash remains my least liked album of all 3 of the releases, Its not that I dont like it, its great! I just think the song on Maniaxe are FAr catchier. Its awesome and is far the superior album.
The remasters are a work of art to as you can actually hear the bass on Maniaxe.
I've heard a couple of new songs that have been written and can safely say you will not be dissapointed.
Hyades are ok but one of there album seems like a rehash of Tempo of the Damned to me, but it might just be me.
