Pitiful Reign announce new line up

Postby Sherry on Mon Mar 19, 2007 9:36 pm

Pitiful Reign is pleased to be able to announce that their new line up will be finally unveiled at the Snooty Fox gig on Thursday.

The guys are really excited at the prospect of having not just one new guitarist, but two!
So they are setting out as a five piece for the very first time.

The new line up is as follows:-

Josh Callis Smith – Vocals
Matt Walker- Bass
Tom Small- Drums
Nev Britton- Rhythm and Lead Guitar
Alan Pashby- Rhythm and Lead Guitar

This is a major change for all the guys, but one which they feel is for the better, allowing them to build on the successes of the past two years.

Nev and the guys have been practising hard and writing lots of new material over the past few weeks, and are now ready to show the public the new re vamped Pitiful Reign.

As most people already know, Alan , ex Infobia shredder, filled in on lead guitar for the last two gigs, and such was the impact on the bands live performance, that the rest of the band have asked him to make this a permanent position. This makes PR’s twin axe attack second to none with blistering solos, tight and heavy riffs.

The last minute booking at the Snooty has provided an ideal opportunity for the band to refine the live set in a friendly environment and on home turf...

Josh says
“We can’t wait to get out there and show people what we can do. The last few weeks have been a time of change within the band, but we are now ready to move forward, with this line up, onto bigger and better things.”

PR have some interesting things in the pipeline too, which includes recording their first full length album later in the year, and hopefully some gigs in Germany with Reckless Tide at the back end, October / November time. That coupled with another trip to Europe should keep them busy, certainly for the next few months to come.

Pitiful Reign

Live at the Snooty Fox, Wakefield

See you there!!

Thanks Sherry, you RAGE!

The new material is sounding excellent, and we all cant wait to get it finished, you can hear instantley the impact that Al has on the band, and Josh just doing vocals. I can just play and hear it all clicking into place and its thrashtastic!

Thursday at the snooty is going to be great, lets hope you guys can make it and see for youself how PR are going to grow!

Cheers and keep it tru3!

I love how this statement from the band tries to sound all professional. Just say you've got a new line up!

^^^^^^Martin;

If you want to be taken seriously as a professional band you have to act in a professional way.

Yeah but even the best bands out there aren't as pretentious as that. Whatever, everyone on this forum loves the PR bhoys and who am I to argue against that - I just can't help nit picking.

I think PR are just about to take their next big step and leave some of the "also-rans" behind.

Good luck to 'em
