BURN ME! SUICIDE!
Ah, the good old days. This new stuff isn't as easy to parody, so I guess you're doing something right

To be honest, I got kind of bored listening to this. The riffs were played longer than they remain interesting.
And I love double bass, dont get me wrong, but that qualifies as poor use of it.
Not terrible though.

If you think that it's poor use of double bass, what would you consider good use, im just interested to see what your preference is?

Well, the top song on there
it starts of with straight rolling double bass, which is always a good thing.
But then like it seems like every other riff has an unnecessary little spurt of double bass thrown in that doesnt really fit, or add anything, its just kinda... there. Double bass for double bass's sake? I dunno. It struck me as gratuitous, without really adding to the heavyness.
Judging by your picture I'm guessing you're the drummer for this band, and I mean, don't take my criticism too seriously, its just my opinion on the matter.

Fair enough, it's always good to hear other peoples opinions, although its actually only on one riff that it does the spurts of Kick(the second part of the verse) admittedly we do play it a few times though.

You're playing the Hobbit tomorrow night? I'll head down then.
Liking the songs. Also really enjoying the double bass! All round very nice.

I quite enjoyed the double bass myself. Though I can understand why people have said what they've said, sometimes they seem to stick out a bit, maybe it's a production thing rather than anything else. I didn't really have a problem with it though. If you really want an example of ridiculous double bass usage, listen to the new Devin Townsend album!
