You won't get a DK2 for £200. You're likely to get more out of a £400 Fernandes or a Schecter than a £400 Jackson, though.

I'd take a DK2M or DK2S over any Schecter.
The materials arent budget at all. The same kind of appointments as a U.S guitar but not quite as good. Still, for the money they are amazing.

Without the obv's answer of Ebay or 'google it', does anyone know a good distributor of EMG bass pickups?

I would love and benefit from a 7 string as i am in B and A a lot and it isnt too practical with a 6 string.

Although, i''m gonna say the obvious answer of ebay. Just cause y'know. Ebay rules.

I wouldnt wipe my arse with a Schecter. Apart from the fact it would hurt. Any Jap Jackson is better and the USA's are way beyond them.
Every Schecter Ive ever played was rubbish and I'm a guitar trader. Or I used to be.
Sorry, I cant stand them. They feel cheap and they look and sound shit.

If you can find one an early 90's rhoads professional, bound neck and pearl jackson logo, I was told by jackson uk that back in the day some of their endorsed artistes actually preffered the early japanesse professional series over the usa models. The active pickups can go straight in the bin though. £500 would probably get you one of those if you can find one.

Another awesome guitar would be an old 80's fernandes steeler, js90, randy rhodes (sic) ...years ago Andy Sneap told me that he preffered the fernandes over usa jackson. Personally speaking and owning both, the fernandes scale is a touch shorter but i think the jackson has a slightly better neck and the sharktooth markers are fitted slightly better, but they are very, very close.
Old fernandes about £300-£400. They actually cost as much as a gibson les paul when new in the late 80's.

I had a cheapo korean jackson 'pro' with the bolt on neck too, that was total junk but looked nice on the wall.
