Alright - after years of pressure from the missus I finally went with her to go and see Paul McCartney at Wrigley Field in Chicago on Sunday night. I figured I should go and see him before he either died or retired. And I have to say it was absolutely fucking brilliant. The old bastard played 37 songs in 3 hours in 90 degree heat. He played everything from early Beatles stuff to a song he'd just released with Youth from Killing Joke. Cost a bomb for tickets 'cos we were down the front, but it was worth every penny (or cent).
Anyway, if you've ever considered going to see him, do it. He knows how to put on a hell of a show. And it's worth it just to hear those old Beatles songs actually performed by one of them.

I love Paul Macartney and I love his song "Band On The Run" which is McCartney’s third most-played song on tour. It tells the story of a rock band escaping from jail. Most people consider Band On The Run as the greatest achievement of Paul McCartney's solo career.
