yaaaay! i just completed final fantasy 1 on ps1 in 19hours 29mins.not bad.i thought itd take nearer to 30hrs,but i suppose it is the first game in the series so is naturally the smallest.
considering it was originally a nes game its must have been a huge game when it was first released.

anyway,im going to start final fantasy 2 tomorrow

FF2 is the only one I haven't completed. its fucking hard (assuming you own the 'Origins' compilation).

Never played FF3 so i can't comment lol

unfortunately ff3 will never see a release in the west ff3 on snes is actually ff6.a confusing numbering issue occured when the 2 original nes sequels never had a western release.ff4 became ff2 on snes and ff5 didnt get a wetern release on snes.so thats why although ff3 is called ff3 on the snes its actually the 6th game in the series.confusing ay?
its wasnt till the ps1 collections/re-releases that it made a bit more sense.

yeah,ive got the Origins version and thats where strategy guides come in handy

its not cheating it just saves hours of frustration and aimless wondering around.strategy guides makes the game a bit more enjoyable
and they help you in doing the game properly rather than taking the easy road/short cuts and missing things.also maps for dungeons/caves/castles etc are a huge help in random battle encounter style games.

anyway strategy guides arent just about playing the game,they are also wonderful books with more info on the background of the game and characters and great artwork.

also they are very collectible(check out ebay).
snes game guides are a bloody fortune.

anyway changing the subject,i got these 2 jap import gems through the post earlier...

rapid reload aka gunners heaven(i ebayed my jap contra on snes for £35 as this is better and is a great replacement for £12)
