BrfmrmmrM!
Yeah, excellent times. Nice to see all the nice bois again and speak to a couple of newer ones, shame about Martin having to go home, never got to properly rape him y'see, but at least he's a mentalist on stage and Heretic were seriously textbook. Doctor Deff and Savage Messiah were also triple good and it wasn't at all a chore to see HOD twice in one day, mental. Excellent dedication too, I very much enjoyed that. Didn't see all of the hilarious FKU, but what I did see looked and sounded friggin' awesome. The crowd was also very healthy, bit of a shame a lot left before FKU, but it was getting on a bit I guess - long live Reanimator and Povey (although I don't think he's going to die)!!
Many thanks again to Mort, would have been impossible without your hospitality of death and an amazing dinner today, that meat and gravy was the best ever.
And now everything is quiet. Except my ears.

We wrote it up on the spot as we walked on the back of that SSS vinyl, didn't do that list anyway as at least two songs were shout outs from the crowd.
Erm...
(Intro)
Tiger
Eyezerbeams
Deathshed
The Iron Matron
Fear the Ambulance
*Promotion of bacon*
Down the Hatch
Transformers - LAST EVER!
Skin of my teeth

Re: Reanimator 18th October Brum : FKU,HOD and more.
Hey guys,
Wanted to give a massive thanks to everyone involved in this show. Total mental stuff from start to finish, the bands all played the best performances I have seen from them to date, and it was great to see such a good turnout. A fitting show for Reanimator to bow out of in 2008 (but hopefully not for good)
I last saw Heretic back In January 2007, I've always been a fan of their stuff but they've improved about 1million percent live and I'm really really glad we asked them back. Martin, I'm really sorry about what happened regarding the venue and the little guy - I was kinda surprised to see him there but I honestly didn't think it'd be an issue as he was hardly going to be buying pints. Total overreaction from the venue I thought and its a shame it meant you had to leave early. Good to meet you again and hopefully we'll get you back up here again. Dr. Death have also improved loads, stonking performance, stonking trainers, and I'm glad we got them before they went clubbing and not after like London did. Hope you enjoyed all the Machine Head and Disturbed in Eddies guys...
Savage Messiah are virtually a new band and again miles better than I've seen them previosuly, much heavier, much tighter, much slicker. I love the way Dave always acts as though he's playing Wembley stadium. H.O.D were H.O.D-tastic as only they can be, the new songs are killer, the cover was totally wicked, stop playing Transformers even though it rocks. The Rev's voice was a bit wavery in places but considering it was the second gig of the day for them we can let him off. It's a shame we lost a lot of the crowd for FKU but I think people had trains and buses to catch and we were, as usual, running late. They're absolutely fucking bonkers, better than i hoped they'd be, plus they forced Povey to eat a cake live onstage. The only downer was that I had to video the show and couldn't get down the front.
Really good to see so many people there, old faces and new, once again cheers for all your support in this show and beyond. Gigs like this show the Underground is alive, people with passion for real music are still out there, fuck the 'metal' mainstream and hopefully see you lot in 2009.
Cheers
Luke
Oh, and Special thanks to Jamie - without him we couldn't have done it - and Povey, who did basically everything for the gig which meant I just turned up on the day stress free and shouted a bit. Cheers dudes!

Having only just recovered from the onslaught thanks to everyone who turned up to our last gig of the year. Jamie for all his hard work over the weekend really without him it would'nt of happened and all the bands for being class and making it a fun night.
