Rik have you played Neo Geo Colosseum? I have it on the ps2 and it is a really bad port.

coliseum looks cool.thing is i kinda prefer the pre 2000 era 2d beat em ups.although the year 2000+ games have fluent graphics and more detailed backgrounds and better music etc i find there is too much going on at once ie:multiple character team ups, complex combos, flashing effects etc.my average brain cant cope and i get dizzy just like the characters in the games.i actually get a circle of fluffy chirping baby birds spinning round my head or sometimes its stars.

That sounds amazing! The only thing that's a shame about this new portable thingybob is that you can obviously only play the games built in to it. It's a shame you can't do what you could do with the Nomad and play real games. But still, it's pretty lovely indeed for under 30 bob.

yeah i know what you mean John.however this new one is smaller/sleeker and more modernised in design.
its just a shame they couldnt have put an SD slot on it then itd be wicked to download extra games for a few quid off the sega site.(a bit like the wii's virtual console).or just as cool would be to release preloaded mini cartridges with a few games each month so then you could slowly build a library of sega classics.
maybe they will make a portable "megadrive 2"with another 20 titles.

research the real meaning of the word Nomad and you will find my pun rather amusing....or most probably very unfunny.
