I think the bloke who did it died in August.

You know that comic that's been going since about 1964 called Commando ? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commando_Comics I think it's one of the really old covers for that. We got in touch, we told them what it was for, they charged us half the normal fee.

Pretty cool I thought. Great picture. Great artist actually, he's done hundreds like this.

The demo slays! I'm highly chuffed with it, cheers John! I've just written a review of it for a fanzine.

The cover artwork is especially immense. I used to love Commando, didn't realise it was still going till I clicked on that link.
Is the art by Phil Gascoine? I know he passed away earlier this year, I think he used to draw for Bunty as well as Battle and Commando. He drew a Robin of Sherwood strip that I used to read when I was a kid too. He was a great artist.
