Get bloody A Sultan's Ransom already.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Have most of it on my MP3 player, pretty middle of the road nothing amazing standard. Just...some metal. Must be a live thing?

I really don't care what Lev has to say about anything metal related, but even so Sultan's Ransom is anything but "middle of the road".

I listened to whatever album has Silver Surfer on, they weren't doing anything special. No boundries were broken. Seemed just very typical NWOBHM. I see not why fuss is made. They're no Saxon.

Firstly, I wouldn't personally describe A Sultan's Ransom as NWOBHM (although that's a moot point); secondly Silver Surfer is arguably one of the worst songs on there; and thirdly heavy metal isn't about "breaking boundaries", it's about HEAVY FUCKING METAL! Only douchebags listen to bands because they are doing something pointlessly groundbreaking - why should heavy metal evolve when it's at the standard of A Sultan's Ransom? But then again you don't even seem to be into heavy metal anyway.

And no disrespect to Saxon because I do enjoy them, but I wouldn't say they've ever recorded material that surpasses Cloven Hoof's catalogue.

Yeah, that's right James, I wanted them to do something pointlessly groundbreaking, that's exactly what I wanted from them.

They do nothing special, at all, from that album I listened to. Insanely bog standard. It's clear the vocalist is bloody good, but musically, it's just...like a sterotype of what a heavy metal music would be. There's just...nothing there. I shall listen to this 'A Sultan's Ransom' and see if it's any better,

You take what I say on here way too seriously.

Incorrect.

Well the bottom line is you basically never have anything much to say, and yet post all the time; I'm sure you're an alright chap but it does seem like a one man show around here at times and I doubt I'm the only one who finds it tedious.

Anyway music is all a matter of taste so I shouldn't have argued, but by the sounds of it you're not very familiar with Cloven Hoof's catalogue anyway, so I do recommend their albums as I think you would find much to like about them.

I say very little because I have very little to say, but I like to voice my opinion, bluntly. If people made threads about decent metal bands (Dream Theater, Maiden, Saxon, Samson, Sabbath, Dio, Rainbow, Leatherwolf, Borknagar, Angra) you'd get a lot more of an indepth discussion. I just don't talk much about stuff I dislike. Opinion, and out, then hope for it to go off topic so we can talk about stuff that's actually good to talk about.

Cathedrals are generally considered the best.
