Masterbation will be taxed one day. It will happen. And I will cry when it does happen.

Once upon a time there was a band called Dragonheart. They found this site called MP3.com and decided, after recording a debut 5 track CD to release it for free on this site. It did rather well in the downloading stakes and they continue to live happilly ever after.
Conclusion - nothing to lose, everything to gain. H.O.D could sell 200 copies for a fiver over a couple of years and they could give away a few thousand copies using the internet in a couple of weeks. I know which they would prefer. I raise my glass to you.
It's 2008. Its all differenet now, you gotta do what works for you.

I'm sure the NHS would love to sponsor HOD! And as for wanking being free, what about all those dodgy porn sites you're a member of Mort? And tissues are surely an overhead too.

Oh yeah, Jason is probably my fave slasher hero, he's so inventive with his killings, and efficient, 2 for 1 sleeping bag death, awesome!!!

allllright, probably the last i will say on this matter, we should be supporting each others music, after all, instead of popping shady digs. Beer can your band are sound, right up my street..beneath the remains meets seven churches i guess....what is there not to like!
"The thing is.....why dont you let your band grow and prosper within a decent time frame, instead of trying to find some sort of fast track/fast route/short cut to recognition?.....just a thought."
Hospital of death is a 13 year old story, starting in 1995 where 3 of the current band were a death metal band and including myself, we played plenty of shitholes up and down the country trying to build a fan base, selling cds for £3. We played down south, travelled a round trip of 500 miles to play to 5 people plus other bands in a pub in walthamstow, but thats the way it was, and i am sure you experiance this from time to time to mr beercan. All this while we were either in college or in low paid jobs. 2 more name changes and lots more songs ended in similar results, plugging yourself for no money at all, with lazy gig promoters and the odd bit of recognition but overall left thinking that great britain is not really the best place to be in with this kind of music. Hospital of death are tasting a very small success of 13 years of lugging heavy gear around the country to play pubs/small clubs only to realise that no matter how hard you try to promote yourselves, its half luck/half who you know that will get you out of the kebab and calculator public house and on the road to something more.
Hospital of death are not a flash in the pan, new comer, they have been working just as hard as your band beercan, writing songs, becoming competent musicians and learning technologies that can produce a decent sounding album in a bedroom. After years of trying to get record deals and dreaming of living of the money earned from being a musician on the road, the fact that the band have gained a little respect and recognition by sharing their music with people on the net is only a good thing for thrash and heavy metal and if more bands took this approach, there would be a thirst for more music like hospital of death and Nebukadnezza around with like minded people being educated in music that engages your brain and hopefully leads them to creating their own music.
I hope orange goblin were good tonight for you, they never let ya down live, always a good time to be had at their gigs!

This thread is flawed in the fact that our album is for sale on our website via Paypal just like everyone elses. If people want a copy then can buy one.
