great night, pretty big turnout for a wednesday.
Sick To Death were on top form again and River Freshney put on a great set.i think Wez had the giggles at one point OR was just pulling silly faces for the camera
Hang The Bastard were a one of a kind mix of hardcore and doom.i would describe them as "doomcore".(see what i did there)
they mix aggressive hardcore with gloomy doom breaks.it works well.
I couldnt stick around for the rest of the eve due to last tubes etc but im sure it continued to be a blinder of a night.

nice one to Jamie as always for putting on yet another winning line up of bands for yet another top resilience night.

those of you forumers who werent skint or busy should have got off you hairy spotty arses and checked it out :shame:
its never too cold out either
i wrapped up lovely and warm for my journey and even 2 tramps seemed to be fine with spening their whole night outdoors :D

STD best band of the night for me. Clothes on: good, nappy: bad.

Freshney good fun as always, not sure why you were on before Hang The Bastard.

Hand The Bastard very good technically but boring as fuck to watch and listen to. Zero stage presence. While it's just not my thing I actively hate anyone who windmills their arms while pacing up and down.... grrr. Maybe I'm too old to get this teenage angst bullshit. It's weird to see a band who can play so well together but just has zero idea about how to entertain as a band. Seems like they've spent more time playing in a garage then infront of strangers. I'm sure they will be Metal Hammer darlings soon.

Lifeless seemed a lot better then the Bar Monsta set. Nice.

I took some vids and pictures that i'll upload in a few days.

Glad that people are starting to see how amazing STD are! I was very sorry indeed to have to miss the show (but not sorry to play an amazing new song at rehearsal), but glad to hear it all went well. Lovely jubbly.

Hello Simon, Can't wait to play this show in april! its going to be heavy!

I honestly love the stage presence Hang The Bastard have, its a bit different to alot of the other bands, you guys have your own character and the music becomes the focal point, not just some buffoon getting naked... its interesting to see how you all draw from different musical stand points, and its quite clear to see the "hardcore kids" and the "metal-heads" of the band (although i wouldn't be so disgusting and categorize any of you like that!). Its the combination of these things that makes HTB sound so fresh and its nice to see that these influences come across in your performance too.

Anyway, i say keep up the good work, don't listen to what these guys have to say.... hahaha!!

By the way, i meant to say thanks for this very kind comment... although you clearly have mental and hearing problems, but thanks! we'll be very active during 2009, seeing as we spent the whole of 2008 honing our sound and practising, its about time we got out to the masses.
