One thing I have noticed from the clips on mission:metallica is that all the talk about them going back to standard E tuning has proved to be bullshit (unless my ears are decieving me). I am guessing that all the other garbage about trying to recapture their old sound/feel will be bullshit too. The stuff I have heard on there, all tiny snippets, has sounded quite loose ala garage days and quite st angerish. The drums still sound shit too (hope the mastering sorts that out) but not as bad as the tin can snare on the last one. Funny watching Larz having to touch up his drum tracks cos his timing is off

I will still buy this regardless.

I still think it'll be pretty good though.

That looks ever-so-slightly filthy to me...

Do you not have to hide enough albums as it is when people you respect come round to your house without continuing to buy more?

That, and it'll only encourage them to make more albums. So download it first, and see if it's worth buying. I hate idea everyone will buy it to find out what it's like, and Metallica will be all like "Yeah, it sold loads! We'll make moaarr!!"

As long as people don't buy it and go, 'It's shit!' They've probably included a 'We told you so' card in the liner notes this time for just that purpose.

What's more, the tit who designed the album cover implies that undertakers are all stupid enough to make holes in the ground perfectly coffin-shaped. What if the coffin was just slightly too wide? You'd have a bunch of bleary-eyed mourners shouting at you.

That really is a poor album cover.

As Iain said, who digs coffin shaped holes? And yeah, it totally looks like a vag, what the fuck were they thinking?

I get it, it's supposed to be one of those iron filings pictures, with all the filings being attracted to the magnetic coffin.

Still... wtf?!
