"OTT" is one thing: doing your shitty hardcore dancing to a DESTRUCTION cover is another.

sorry mutant for ruining your night with my "shitty hardcore dancing". didnt realise thrash was about standing still and not enjoying yourself.
james has told me whats right, and whats wrong to do while watching a thrash band. and thrash master james is obviously right after discovering thrash "many moons" ago.
me and my band have got alot to learn. if you like thrash you can't possibly like any other genres, right? stay true, yeah?
HOW THE FUCK CAN YOU NOT SEE THE FUN SIDE TO THRASH? MULLETS? LEATHERS? DENIM?
THE OFFENSIVE SIDE OF THRASH? SLAYER? S.O.D?
THE CROSSOVER? THE PARTY? D.R.I.? MUNICIPAL WASTE?
THE DANCING/MOSH? .......maybe people can't handle a good old hard as fuck pitt anymore...

DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR?!?!???? haha

THRASH!!! PARTY!!! FUCK!!! FIGHT!!! DRUGS!!! BOOZE!!! BITCHES!!!

Much Love,

Whatever mate, I didn't see anyone "not enjoying themself" to Mutant just because they weren't trying to punch and kick themselves out of an invisible straight-jacket.

I'm not trying to lay down any 'laws' though just because I'm not particularly into moshing myself, people can do whatever they want at the end of the day; kind of a shame if it annoys other people but whatever.

Although you seem to think that if you're not dancing around punching and kicking you're somehow being boring and not enjoying the show, which is fucking stupid. In fact, people did try to start a few "circle pits", but couldn't it seemed to me because of the hardcore dancing.

It doesn't have anything to do with not seeing the fun/offensive/dancing side of thrash, nor does it have anything to do with "ruining Mutant's night", it's just my personal comments about enjoying a show in your own way, but without making it lame for others who are trying to do the same.

I wont deny that at the same time I was struck by the injustice of such antics during a song by Destruction, but I suppose that's just the incorrigible traditionalist in me!

the best monday night ever!respect to Tom for doing an amazing mutant set while feeling ill!and as for this little debate on how to act in a crowd.....the clue is in the word of the music THRASH.if youre gonna stand, fair do's but expect the odd shove in your direction.if youre worried bout spilling beer/getting beer on you then stand up at the balcony(its safer).a good example of the right attitude is donny, always up at the front enjoying everyband everytime and not worrying what the rest of the crowd is up to.his poser message on this topic sums it all up perfectly.
if your gonna hardcore flail about, watch where the fists fly and then no-one can whinge.as for standers,if your not even headbanging, lean at the bar and let the ones feeling it more have some room to do their thing.
river freshney are intense NOT intimidating, they are all about having a laugh and not caring what anyone thinks, and thats what the rest of you should be doing next time they play.get involved, dont pose at the back and leave it all to the 5-10of us actually enjoying it.
