Just turn the Evile gig on the Sunday into an all dayer, it's already booked so thats a start and you've got 3 quality bands already on the bill!! Add 5 more to that and you've got a winner of an all dayer!!!

I set up the my space page,but no one told me it was cancelled.

Here's the official statement. We felt that the bands should be informed of the cancellation straight away, with the intention of announcing it soon after, and then the information was posted here before I had chance to compose a statement.

Appologies to all of the bands, and to anyone who had made plans to attend FTA, but it wasn't an easy decision to make and we felt that it wasn't worth going ahead with considering the circumstances.



The Full Thrash Assault festival, which was set to take place Saturday, April 25, 2009 at the Snooty Fox in Wakefield, U.K., has reportedly been cancelled. The event organizers explained, "Since arranging the gig, we've been faced with a number of problems including Mutant cancelling through reasons beyond their control. With EVILE, MUTANT and WARPATH playing that weekend, plus Hammerfest also going on, we have decided that going ahead with it would be too big a risk when the money is coming out of our own pockets.

There are two thrash metal all-day events scheduled to take place at the Snooty Fox, on March 07th and June 13th.

The following bands were scheduled to take part in Full Thrash Assault:

AMOK
MUTANT
VISCERAL ATTACK
CIRCLE OF TYRANTS
HALLOWED POINT

BOOK ONE OF THEM FOR 6 WEEKS /2 MONTHS LATER
SOME BANDS POSSIBLY WILL DROP OUT - FILL THE GAPS - BET LOADS PEOPLE WOULD WANT TO PLAY

Why don't we all just have joint effort, all put in to hire the venue and have a thrash festival by the fans for the fans!!!

I'm more than happy to pay a fair bit of money to put on an awesome day festival...

I'll do an entire podcast from the STAGE, imagine that. And instead of announcing the next track, it'll be the next BAND playing LIVE! THAT'S THE BEST BLOODY IDEA EVER!
