These wankers got spagetti bolognese cooked for them hahaha!
Killer gig, Bill summed up the bands well, Evile were really at the top of their game it is true.
Pretty gruelling journey, but worth every second - and thanks so much for the sleeping space at the House of Deception!

Mutant hit the stage first, and put on a great show. Loads of killer crunching riffs, loads of energy and some great stage banter by Tom saw plenty of headbanging from the gathered thrashers.
Heretic were up next, and were pretty cool too - a bit less speedy and a bit more grinding with some excellent sadistic sounding vocals.
Evile, simply put, set the standard that UK thrash bands have to aim for. No disrespect to the other two bands, but Evile were just a step up - absolutely pounding powerful performance, tight as hell, rippingly fast and some great songs which was reflected by intense headbanging, a few pits and some attempted stagediving!
Cheers to all the bands, Jamie, Donny, James and all the Londoners who came up for this show and everyone else who headbanged and drunk their way through this awesome show!
haha 'attempted stage diving', I saw that.
great gig though, never seen any of the bands before, I really liked Mutant, they reminded me of Bonded by Blood era EXODUS, can't go wrong there!

Luke here from Reanimator, I was the guy DJing Saturday.
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who came to Brum from all over to see this show, it was the most fun I've ever had at one of our gigs. Full on fucking thrashfest!
Massive thanks to the bands too for shredding everyone in attendence! Evile were astounding, top of their game just doesn't do them justice.
We'll have some pics up on our site soon, but there's a link to them on our forum if you're interested in the Evile thread....

haha nah, they're staying with other relatives for the rest of the next couple of weeks. They had to choose the week of this gig. How inconsiderate!

Amazing is indeed what it was! I had a great night, much fun indeed. Mutant were of course brilliant, I was very glad to finally see them live (oh yes and well done for the 'FACE!' in Psycho Surgery, bloody genius I tell you, I love it every time). Heretic were as great as they could be with the unfortunate sound - that didn't stop me headbanging all the way through their set though, fucking great stuff. Evile were also fucking brilliant! Yes indeed, I am now a fully converted ukthrash fan I think, well done Jamie. Also well done again to you for selling more Bangers & Mother cds. And also for driving everywhere in the world, I've already said thank you a million times in real life but thank you again, great fun was had by all. And yes, that spaghetti boloognaise was pretty good I have to say. What a treat for the face.

Just use the arrows at the top to scroll through.
Next Reanimator will be Saturday 10th February, at the same venue. More of a death metal theme than the last one, but the same mix of great metal atmosphere, cheap booze and cool people. Be good to see some people from here again...flyer and new thread to follow soon.

I have added some of my Birmingham pics to the Gallery now. They are just mixed in with the On-Stage and Miscellaneous categories, so you'll have to locate them!
