i think this is great, i love the dark reverby bits, yeah lets hope the whole album blows us away and so far the two songs have done for me. i do agree with lyall though what he said about the whole listening to the songs through good speakers as that does sound like insecurity but what ever, they can say what the fuck they want when they come out with awesome shit like this.

Thankyee for all the opinions and taking the time to listen!

and no insecurities from me, damn proud of what we've done with Russ. It's more for Russ' "above and beyond the call of duty" work he put into the album than anything that I think.

Low quality mp3s/MySpace and rubbish speakers obviously won't change the actual production and you'll still be able to hear that it's good (as you can) but that kind of thing definitely doesn't do well produced music justice, so I think it's more than fair enough that you said what you said, Ol. You'd be a buffoon to say it doesn't matter whether you listen to something through laptop speakers or a massive amazing hi-fi. I'd imagine a lot of people listen to music these days through their computers, so I think it's fair indeed to want to try and get people to listen to music, that someone's put a lot of effort into making it sound good, in the best quality possible, so as to appreciate the said effort gone into it.

Anyway, yes, I still think this is a good track. If all the tracks were like this I could see the album easily getting a bit boring, but Evile have already very clearly stated that this isn't the case and the album is varied, so I can't wait to see what else the boys have done.

Why is listening to music through a PC such a bad thing? My PC speakers are much better than my shitty stereo.

Of course listening through a good set of speakers (hence my 4 huge surround sound ones i cudnt afford but got anyway) blows comp.speakers out of the water but all i was saying was that if the track is any good- you'd hear that through anyway.

Ive listened to the new track again and at least there is some atmosphere when the added guitar tracks come in but melodically it is still unexciting.

I like it, a lot.

Yeah it's slow paced but you can't have every song on your album at warp speed. Variety is the spice of life and all that.

Matt's vocal style on this album somehow suits the music better than on ETG, i think it's coz i'm a big fan of the whole Gojira/SYL/Cavalera vocal style and he seems to have got some of that action going on very well.

Production is really tight and crisp too, my only gripe is that it sounds a little too over-compressed in places and the snare drum seems a little flat and lifeless but that might just be my ginger ears. Can't fault the playing though as that's the usual tight as a camel's arse in a sandstorm affair.

Lovely stuff.

agreed
most of my very favorite albums, always with one or two slow songs

I'm not saying every thrash metal albums without a slow song cant be good
but it's not easy to write a pure fast non stop thrash metal album that don't bored you in some moment!

the new slow song is good,
and it's so hard to write a good slow song
I'm not talking about ballad, I mean slow thrash metal song
I think slow thrash song is much harder to success than ballad,

I been heard so many shitty slow crap
I know it's not easy but Evile did it very well on the last album [Bathe In Blood]
and seems did it once again
maybe it will grow on me some more after more spins when the cd is out.

cant wait for the new album out :rockdevil:

Sounds pretty good. I liked Infected Nations better, but this one would be good to play when everyone's fucked and needs a rest!!
Sounds like alot of Metallica influence in this one too.

And how many ballads do you know as well as this song to make that rather brash statement....

I don't know what's your purpose to make that reply.

you think that make a slow thrash metal song is easier than write a ballad?

no, I can tell you I dont know so well about that new song,
I only played it twice, I will listen to it more when the cd is out

How many ballads I know?
what?
you sounds like want to test me?
ok dude,
some from Heathen, Metallica, Testament,
and more from Kat, Onslaught, Master, Outrage, Pentagram
actaully many bands write ballads

what's your point?
