Indeed James, you have summed up the album perfectly without even hearing it. For all its many faults, at least some of the riffs on Death Magnetic are memorable. I can only remember about three or four riffs from this album, and I don't really want to listen to it ever again. Sorry.

What makes me like a band is the riffs. NOT solos. Im not even a big fan of solos. Riff based bands are usually the best anyway. Megadeth can piss off, as can the fans that live in Daves arsehole.

Meh, I checked out a few songs. They're pretty good for the initial 'oh my fucking god listen to that solo' reaction, but nothing I'd listen to more than once or twice.

Re: Megadeth -End Game
I hate it when solos are just silly and fast for the sake of it, and that's all there is. "oh look jeff, it's time for a solo". Textbook. A solo is only good if it isn't there just for the sake of shoving one in. A generic piece of shit solo. Now i'm talking shit.

Re: Megadeth -End Game
I'm half way listening to this on YouTube. So far I like it quite alot, and I've even ordered it from Play.com.
I know they will never be as good as they once where, but there's no point in dwelling on that. Mustaine is old and wiser, and clean of drugs now, which is the opposite of what made Megadeth awesome... Young, dumb and full of erm, heroin.
One problem is that some of the riffs in this album are 90% similar to earlier Megadeth songs, but I'm far from dissapointed.
You can't expect bands as popular as Megadeth to make ground breaking albums these days. They've passed their prime along time ago, but that doesn't fucking matter at all. If you don't like it, then put Rust in Peace on, I'm just glad that I've got something new to play in my car.
Out of the big 4, I'd say this album is probably better than the rest of the new ones. I wasn't a massive fan of Death Magnetic, I don't have high hopes for Slayers new one and Anthrax have done too much fucking about with their singers for me to have any kind of respect for them anymore. At least this album is different than Megadeth's last "mainstream" attempts.

Well I can safely say that 1320 is the crappiest song on the lbum (and its very crappy), but the rest is pretty fucking solid. Given it a few more listens now and I'm enjoying it more and more, its certainly another grower. 44 Mnutes is probably my favourite so far.
I ain't just syaing that because I'm a 'Deth fan either haha. I'm actually pretty impressed with what Dave has come out with this time around - yeah someof it just sounds like what you'd epect from Dave Mustaine, but thats not really a bad thing is it?

I am trying really hard to like this...but I can't. The lyrics are just so shite. The music is good, but i have spent all my time wondering what happened to the good old Megadeth lyrics.

Haha cool, I dug that, in fact, I liked that song as well. It was heavy, sounds like it will go down well live.

Haha, hilarious. It's actually quite a cool idea for a video, I think, but I hate Dave Mustaine's face, so basically, I hate it.

Re: Megadeth -End Game
I did laugh when the platform raised up, but compared to the last Deth videos (Never Walk alone and Toute le monde) this is far far better. Thought the production on the vid was really awesome and I think Mustaine would be an awesome host on like WWF or UFC! Hears hoping they invite him to do Wrestlemania or something next year

Best thing he's done since RIP and if you don't agree you must be an Overkill fan.
